But Martina helped to win mixed and doubles and the whole match for her team!

thats kinda a suprise but not really. When Meghann wants to she can be real dangerous.

Meghan has a very good serve and it is especially effective in the first couple of games. Had they gone for best of three it would be a lot closer assuming Hingis is fit ofcourse.

Icky. I would have rather seen Martina win this one. Oh well, Meghann can play for sure. When did Meghann bulk up, and become super toned and cut? Was Meghann still a bean pole in 2001, when she had her best year? I remember seeing her play a match in '01, either against Caps or Kim, and the commentators were blabbing about how Meghann lived up to her seeding, and is shy and all that, but don't remember her body all that much...

Anyway, it's Chanelle Scheepers. Hardly a threat on tour...but she was one of the last women to beat Nicole Rencken. :(

 But I remember when Hingis beat Shaughnessy 6-2 6-3 in the Sydney 02 final, what a beautiful display of tennis :worship: -- she didn't miss a first serve until halfway through the second set!

Not really surprising... Martina isn't in anywhere near the shape Meghann is yet. She gave it a good effort, though. Good try Martina :)
