From her site:

Serena Gearing Up For Acura Classic
7/6/05 1:52 PM

Serena is currently training for the Acura Classic which will be held August 1-7 in San Diego, CA. While her big sister Venus went on to win Wimbledon, Serena cheered her on from the USA. Serena will be a major competitor in the event. Last year she made it to the quarterfinals. The Acura Classic is a Tier I event worth $1,300,000 in prize money.

I hope so.
Her website has recently added JPMorgan Chase Open to her schedule.
So her schedule before US is San Diego-Los Angeles-Toronto
If she plays BOWC,there'll be 4 weeks in a row, which is impossible for Serena.

Don't count on her. Last time she was supposed to play the Bank of the West, the announcement that she was pulling out due to injury wasn't made until the very last moment (how convienent for ticket sales.)

When I first saw the ads that both sisters will be there, I thought, "well, hopefully one of them will show up." Actually that is harsh -- Venus has always been a loyal competiter at that tourney.

Last year the tournament director was hot that Serena did not show up. She was indeed injured but alot folk came just to see her. Venus always shows up to the tournament and has always been a big crowd draw, but everyone was excited that Serena was coming also. I don't know I may be able to drive down to a few night sessions to see Venus and Lindsay play.
