Great for Israel to have a tournament!

Maybe a title for Peer or Smashnova!

I know for sure that sofia gubaci, and Ipek and Ozgen will be glad to come, add in Tzipi, Smashnova and Peer, perhaps some friends of the osraeli girls will come here as well - likhovtseva, kremer, douchevina and such.
it could be a great TierIV - i think that as a Tier III we would have problems, but if Poland can have 2 (!) great tournies of the highest level with "only" domachowska (which i'd LOVE to see here) so can we.

Unfortunately Shonami we have only 1 Tournament(J&S Cup) and probably we won't have any WTA in upcoming year, cuz J&S cup will be held in Warsaw till 2006, what will happen later? Nobody knows...
Still nice to have a WTA in Israel :)
What has Gubacsi in common with Israel?

The latest news say that it's a 140K tier 4, and it will be held in autumn (presumably week of Oct 23) on the same week of Linz and Hasselt.
I wouldn't expect top players to come here... definitely not top-20 and perhaps one or two top-40...
I wonder if an outdoor tournament in late October will be attractive to players in the middle of indoor season... If we get better field than Hyderabad or Pattaya that would be nice...

I wonder if there's any tournament on the week of Zurich next year (this year it's a lone tournament)... we would be better of in a week of 2 events rather than 3...

another good slot would be the week of YEC, as Pattaya used to be until 2003... but that may be too cold and greater risk of rain...

Good for Israel. It is great to hold a tournament in your own country. :wavey:

I am still waiting WTA gives the chance to have on in Buenos Aires, Argentina is a really big country with lots of fans.
