I saw this mentioned on the board quite a bit and decided to put it together in poll form.

she keeps threatening...i reckon she'll do it. most possibly at the USO

It's one thing to threaten. It's another thing to pull the trigger.

I created this poll because I don't know if this loss will make her stronger, crush her will, or if she won't take anything from it and just continue playing as she has.

I just want to see what other people think.

After seeing Lindsay weakly lose the AO final and seemingly give up during the second set, I didn't think she'd ever win another Slam. But her performances and attitude against Amelie and Venus have changed my mind. If she's fit and healthy and can have a decent run up to the US Open, there's no reason why she can't win it.

This Loss may cause her to lose the U.S. Open. Venus, and Serena has always been her downfall. Now that they are back beating her, it will be tough. Maybe if someone else takes out the williams then yes, her chances are like 50 percent! Split between her and Henn.

It's hard to write off players in this , see venus, but I really think this may lead to the downfall and eventual retirement for Lindsay. She may make one more push at the USO but after that I really don't think she has that commitment to train and keep in shape and her results will certainly reflect that.

I believe Davenport will win another Slam...maybe more than one!
She can do it with her spirit ;) ;)

cant right her off but the odds are against her, age being one thing, but she should have won wimbledon last year, should have won the us open last year, had a good shot at AO this year and a wimbledon final this year, she even beat clijsters on clay at RG. she can most certainly play at the level required to win a slam but when it gets to the latter stages of them she faulters.
