View Full Version : Australia's book of Who's who gives Dokic the boot

Oct 18th, 2001, 02:58 PM
The new Australian Who's who released their new addition yesterday. Some new enties were Lorraine Bailey, who came to the love of Australia through her part of ,"Grace Sullivan" in the "Sullivans". The Episode of Graces Death by a doodlebug in London in 1943 drew a audience of 83%. One other notoable entry is Anne Tenney, who was loved dearly as "Molly" in "A country practice"..Her diagnosis with Adult lukemiea and her 6 week struggle in the show with the illness and Death, drew 80% plus ratings...the episode of her passing making an incredible 92%......One notable excluion is Jelena Dokic...aalthough she continues to claim that Australia is part her home, the yearly book decided she was not worthy to be included....The editors from the book have stated they will treat Jelena the same way as Helen Reddy, just because you call Australia home when it suits you, doesn't neccesarily make you Australian...

Well done Guys..she certainly deserves to be kicked from the book

No place for defectors..

Oct 18th, 2001, 07:54 PM
...I'm sure she was devastated and burst into tears when she heard she was left out of the book, that no one even reads!.......

Oct 19th, 2001, 03:52 AM
iluvjelena, yes im sure she did. im sure shes torn to pieces.

go jelena!

how rude of that book by the way

Oct 19th, 2001, 03:55 AM
It's not rude at all. why should she be included? she is not an Australian...

Oct 19th, 2001, 04:00 AM
What is rude was she was ever included in the first place.

Oct 19th, 2001, 04:04 AM
Jelena's nationality now is Yugoslavia and so why this book should include her ?

OMG! Did they include Oliva Newton John? She is the BOMB!

Please say she is included .... please

Oct 19th, 2001, 04:18 AM
lol Dawn, Livvy has been there for a few years now

Oct 19th, 2001, 06:34 AM
Maybe that's why she hit 34 UE against Chanda! She found out she was left out of the book which I never even knew existed!

Dokic dumped Australia..not the other way around.

Adrian, I know your fave isn't playing but please, find something else to do with her time except diss Jelena..just coz she can win a title since May.

Oct 19th, 2001, 06:54 AM
Just because your obviously so blinkered that you don't know anything except where Jelena's next match is, doesn't mean the rest of Australia are as ignorant or stupid as you.

Oh great because I so Love the song "Have you Never been Mellow" I loved this song as a child. My mother used to sing it to me all the time. My favorite movie is "Grease" by the way.. Go Oliva

Oct 19th, 2001, 07:11 AM
"Hopelessly devoted to you" almost brings me to tears everytime I hear it

Oct 19th, 2001, 07:14 AM
oh, I love this song, hopelessly devoted to you, I love sad romantic songs and stories , her voice is so sweet

Oct 19th, 2001, 07:18 AM
Yeah me too...Whitney houston's "I will always love you" Atomic kittens "Whole again" Abba's "The winner takes it all" are such great songs......as long as you aren't depressed before you hear them

Oct 19th, 2001, 07:21 AM
well, I like ONJ's more, Whitney's singing skills may be better but I find her voice a bit too loud and high, I prefer ONG, so sweet and beautiful . And she looks very young as well!

Oct 19th, 2001, 07:24 AM
funny thing is, she was around 28 (or possible a touch older) when she played Sandy in Grease......

Oct 19th, 2001, 07:38 AM
No she was 30 or 31!

Oct 19th, 2001, 07:46 AM
I knew she was quite old for the part she was playing...so that makes her about 54 or 55 now?

Oct 19th, 2001, 07:49 AM
I am not sure about her exact age but I am sure that she is over 50! but still looking very young!

Oct 19th, 2001, 07:57 AM
Yeah, I seen a pic the other day of her and Chloe...they both look great

Oct 19th, 2001, 08:03 AM
hey, Adrian, just curious, who is more popular now in Australia, Hewitt or Rafter? I like Rafter, he is a real sportsman

Oct 19th, 2001, 08:10 AM
Definately Rafter, some people still can't take to Hewitt's brashness

Oct 19th, 2001, 08:20 AM
I dislike Hewitt's on court behavior and I hate him for beating my old Sampras

But I am afraid that his achievements may be definitely be much greater than Rafter in future he already won one slam at 20

Oct 19th, 2001, 08:50 AM
Yeah you may be right there....Although I think we need to watch Flippa now, I read an interview on him and he was talking about the desire that has returned for him, since his lay off and in the 5 matches he has played since his comeback, he has looked pretty good considering the lack of Match play....

Oct 19th, 2001, 08:58 AM
I hope so because I always think Mark has wasted his talent but he is already 25 ... and Hewitt is just 20 ...

Oct 19th, 2001, 09:06 AM
Thats true, but hey Andre was 29 or 30 before he really hit his straps

Oct 19th, 2001, 09:12 AM
but I think Andre is the one and only one, no other person can do what he did, Goran won the Wimbledon at 29 but now only managed to win nine matches after that great win .

Lets hope Rafter won't retire and Mark wins a slam next year, I really don't like Hewitt , I am bad and am jealous of his achievement

Oct 19th, 2001, 09:17 AM
lol...no your not...

Mark, really has had a shocking run with injuries, I truly believe given 2 injury free years he could win 2 or 3 Slams and be number 1...His game has it all.......

Oct 19th, 2001, 09:25 AM
ok, lets hope Mark has no more injuries, I now think that he is the most handsome tennis player (in the past I think its Safin), hoping him to beat Hewitt and be the no.1 in Australia

Oct 19th, 2001, 09:29 AM
Mark and Marat together...what a porno movie that would make

Oct 19th, 2001, 09:37 AM
hey but I find Marat's girlfriend not too beautiful . If he and Anna are couple, then its perfect

Oct 19th, 2001, 09:42 AM
Who is Marat's Girlfriend?

Oct 19th, 2001, 09:48 AM
hey, this girl followed her to Hong Kong, Marat said they are together for 4 years, his girlfriend's skin is a bit dark and doesn't look very liked Russian ? but sorry, i don't know how to post a photo, her photo was seen in our local newspaper but I already thrown it away, I think you may find it in internet? She is 6 feet tall!

Oct 19th, 2001, 09:50 AM
lol, well at least they would be comfortable in bed

Oct 19th, 2001, 09:55 AM
I could be wrong but I think Marat is dating the sister of Cristina Torrens-Valero.

Oct 19th, 2001, 09:56 AM

Oct 19th, 2001, 10:25 AM
sheesh , u guys can dramatize anything..

she has her own motives i mean, she spent the majority of her life and upbringing in Yugoslavia...if Jelena feels happy with her decision , then its fine by me!

good luck against Silvia Jelena...

Oct 19th, 2001, 02:29 PM
They shouldn't have even mentioned her name in that book!

Miranda - Hewitt is a great talent and is probably going to be better than Rafter. Accept it.
