She was amazing!!! She was rocking a Doors t-shirt and jeans. She did a poem called 'P.O.W.' Meaning - Prisoner of Words, Unsaid. It was absolutely amazing. Jon Legend was on there as well, and was pretty good too.

Also, if anyone knows where to find a transcribed version of 'P.O.W.', I'd be appreciative muchly.

I saw it...I'm sure that poem was her "coming out" event. :o She's a prisoner of unspoken words... :tape:

I saw it she did real well until she messed up at the end and almost fell. :tape:

Good look in finding the words...

When she tripped over the chair... :tape: At least she kinda pulled it off like, 'yeah i'm cool'. I really liked that poem. It was very profound.

I can't remember if this poem was on that show but I liked the poem about "fuck the police" :tape:

I saw the last part of that pregnant lady's poem about having unprotected sex, but I found it to be highly odd that she was PREGNANT and railing against unprotected sex. Irony, maybe ?

I don't like spoken poetry (think it's corny) :spit: but now I have to see her.

It's a bit contrived.... but the words are amazing.

I missed that epi.

I've been looking for the first episode, with Lauryn Hill & Dave Chappelle.

It's gotten to that point, but originally I think it was amazing. The problem now is everyone has the same flow and delivery, and usually it's the same subject.

Lauryn's poem was different, thou. Of course, that's expected, since her writing skills are far superior to the people on Def Poetry.

Dave's poems were stupid funny. His first poem was entitled, "Fuck Ashton Kutcher" I can't remember the title for his second poem.

No, my parents got rid of digital cable a while ago. My ex-boyfriend had onDemand, but we're not together anymore. THe current boyfriend has shitty DirecTV, and the TiVo erased the epi.

The second poem was about Jeopardy, and how white people killed everyone. Hilarious, thou I think it should have been done before the Ashton poem, not after.

I thought she was a bit too dramatic, I've never been much impressed with her. Most interesting part was her little accident with the chair and stage. So far the 'stars' this season have been a let down. Lauryn Hill wasn't saying anything she hasn't in the past and maybe because she was nervous and still going through her little bout of issues, I just didn't care. Her name and who she was in the past was bigger than anything she said.
