i did it by accident cos i was trimming it's tail fur and cos it was really dirty on the underside. and then suddenly my rabbit started shaking violently and then hopped away from me, i didnt know what happened to so i left it alone but then i realized that i had cut it's tail cos i saw abit of blood. so i quickly got a tissue paper and dabbed it with water to clean away the blood. and then i just applied some zambuk(anti-septic cream for humans) on to its tail. and i now i dont know what to do, he did not bleed much. should i take him to the vet?

I think you should call the vet, maybe ask them if it's necessary to bring your rabbit in.

But then again, the vet would probably tell you to do that, cos it means $$ for them. :)

No, he should be fine.

aww  I suppose he'll be fine. Just keep an eye on the wound, keep rubbing the ointment on it. Meanwhile take him to the groomers in the future :p

Poor rabbit

But it sounds like it was just a small cut, which means you don't have to go to the vet.

Poor rabbit, it probably will be fine, but perhaps best to have it checked up anyway by the vet.

I wouldn't put too much ointment on it, it might impair the flavour.

Vets only want to rip you off. My dad stood on my rabbit by accident and blood started coming out its mouth so we took it to the vet and it cost 25 pounds for an injection.

Poor rabbit. I am sure thought that the bunny will be OK. It doesn't sound like you cut off the tail or anything. If it doesnt appear to be needing stitches then I see no reason to bring in the bunny.
