wow. I mean, she can't make a single shot. Her footwork sucks. Her second serve sucks. Her groundstrokes look even more awkward than normal. Bye bye.

That's not true IMO. She has more winners than UE's, or at least she did when they last checked the stats.

I am not watching the match live, so I can comment on anything Serena is doing, but I am following the scores online. In the last game, Serena twice had points to go up 5-3 and Haynes really took it to her. If Serena is not careful, she may lose this one or she may come back and win like she did in Australia a couple of years ago. Like Loit, a lot of it will come down to Haynes. If she can hold it together, she could end up a winner.

Sure looks like it.. Then again , that's what you get when you don't play for months.

She should have played a warm up and barring that she should have entered the doubles for extra court time. She needs it badly.

That being said all credit to angela for taking advantage of the situation. Still, go serena!

Serena is now up 5-4 and can serve out the second set. If she wins, then the pressure will be on Angela to win a third set. I'm not sure that Angela is experienced enough to do that.

Well, Serena hasn't played now for months...And to me, it's more about Angela Haynes than Serena...Hanes is playing very steady, the type Serena HATES to play...Serena has hit MUCH more winniers than UE's and SO has Haynes...

Serena simply never plays and I sometimes wonder if she has practiced. It may be the injuries have kept her from working hard. I hope that is what has occurred and not a loss in interest.

yes she broke for 5-4!

yeah, I'm not watching it live but I think a couple of my friends are actually watching it in the stands. I know they're pissed off. I gotta hear it from one of their mouths later...

I'm sorry for Serena fans, but she doesn't deserve to win

Correct...Angela MUST hold her serve and her serving first will help out a lot. At least she won't be playing "catch up" each time.

This goes back to the question...does the "better player" always win? Sometimes experience can pull out matches for a player.

You, she has a fashion company, she is working on a really intense line for the fall. She is an actress. Sie is working on an animation series, different reality series....maybe she doesn`t have any time to think about this match, which she is playing now ;)

She played well considering she hasnt had a match for months! You cant just expect her to play awesome every single match even though shes been injured and lacks matchplay. Serenas level was better than it was last year against Sharapova in the final, and the match was high quality, both with more winners than UEs.
