i am watching this and am completely disgusted at the way this ugly woman has completely given up on her kids and then wonders why they act like little devils

I watch this show to laugh at adult "parents" that try to reason and bargain with little kids. YOU are the adult...THEY are the kids. Figure it out, people. I don't have kids because I swear I'd spank their asses for starters, and then I"d end up in jail for raising spanking my kids. :tape:

oh if only talking back was all they did these kids, hit bite and ABUSE thier parents. and i do think that many if not most are caring parents, but those that were on the air yesternday simply did not CARE about what they kids did, and where more concerned with couches and impressing friends than with having good loving children. and that was a little sad.

ps. spanking is one of is not the best way to keep tiny devils in check i say

ps. spanking is one of is not the best way to keep tiny devils in check i say i never saw the show, but are u serious? the actually hit their parents? good grief! i cant even imagine doing that to my parents!gawd no!i can just see it now me:*raising hand to hit mom* mom: *paaap*there goes one right across my face!

i was a terror as a child but i still never dared hit my parents or yell at them when i was spanked. the worst i did was run till they caught me. or just struggle when i was in their grasp!

my mom was the worst though. she could give a mighty good spanking. in the kitchen, it would be the flat wooden spoon, in the living room, it would be the rattan cane, and in my room, either the hair brush or the plastic hangers! no such thing as "go stare at the wall and think about what you did".

IMO that's bullshit.kids are waaay to young to actually sit down and think about what they did. a spank would keep them in check. i mean, i got it loads and i turned out ok, as did my elder sister. because after giving it to us good, my parents would wait till we slept and come to our rooms and pat us or rub baby oil on our skin. of course, they thought we were asleep, but we weren't.

and despite all the whackings i still love them loads because i KNOW they care. and i never got it for small things. it was always because of something nasty that i had done.

but i can tell that my youngest sis is gonna be the most utterly spoilt brat ever. my mom had her when i was 19 (dont ask!) and she's 2 now and my parents spoil her rotten because my sister and i are not at home anymore. and baby virginia rules the house! she has such a snotty attitude sometimes that me and my sister have to give it to her.

Okay, I haven't watched the show all that much to prove that this is right, but in case yoou didn't notice, all these people have HUGE homes. I bet you that 99% of these kids' problems is that the parents don't pay any attention to them. The only time the parents talk to their kids is when they tell them something is wrong. I mean, I'd lash out if I were them...that's a rediculous situation!

This show feeds off of our pre-concieved notions that upper-middle class families can't take care of their children, because they're too busy working. And I'm sure that this is the case some of the time....

I dunno. I just hate Fox shows in general. 24, The Simpsons, and Family Guy are the only things keeping that station from going down in a big ball of flames...

well, i grew up loaded but it's not like my parents lavished me with everything i wanted. they used the money they had for better purposes. they put me in an international school so i could gain more knowledge about other cultures, they forced me to go to india so i could learn about my own background....of course, when i was older i did get a car and an apartment, but that's only because they want me to have something when i settle down. my dad has made it loud and clear that when it comes to looking for a job and maintaining my car and apartment, he's not gonna do me any favours.

but i see where what you're saying comes from. most rich kids are spoilt. and they dont get enough attention. i'm glad mine were different. i think its cuz my mom grew up rich and neglected, so she didnt want the same thing to happen with me. and i'm truly greatful. i mean, she quit her job once i was born to become a full time housewife. she used to make me read peter and jane books every day and do equations and learn to read and write tamil (my mother tongue) since i was 4!and she learnt the piano because i wanted to just so she could help me out if i had trouble. she learnt how to swim just so i would feel more secure with her around.

wow. i need to start a parents appreciation thread.i love mine so much!
