In Italian language to say that two people "are like dog and cat" means that they are implacable foes.....

I wonder if dogs and cats can peacefully live togheter or they are actually implacable foes.....
Share your experience, please......

I have had cats and dog live together peacefully. The cats thought the dog was an idiot and ignored him. The dog didn't really pay attention much to the cats. He'd sniff. They'd hiss. He'd go away. There may have been a few instances of claw across the snout as well. Truth be known, the dog wasn't too bright.

He was a sweet and very non-aggressive dog, however.

I have a dog, and have had to take a cat in for a week while a friend was on a trip. His name was Mr. Martini, and he and my dog got along very well after the first day of adjustment.
