"In first round matches, 11th-seeded South African Amanda Coetzer, who committed 25 unforced errors and only had 11 winners, was thrashed 6-2 6-1 by Croatia's Iva Majoli in under an hour"
Amanda Definately needs a new coach!!
She is definately in a slump!!:(
her serve is mediocre at Best!

This is amanda's worst result in some time, i mean being thrashed by a top player is one thing but losing to Iva like this (although i am an iva fan as well) is devastating. It just doesn't seem right that she could be thrashed like that, i mean iva's stats are flawless but Amanda's are terrible. She might need a new coach, but i am starting to think that maybe amanda's star is waning and she really is not the player she once was :(

Saying this makes me cry...

I thought 'cool' when I heard Lori McNeil was going to be Amanda's coach, but then when no great performances were coming I didn't know whether it was simply Amanda's age, lack of power etc that was causing it or whether it was just bad coaching or whatever. I still don't know, and won't until either she gets more power or changes her coach lol.

Good luck in Charleston Amanda, we want you in the top 20!

hmm I don't know if her coach is the problem. You see a lot of older, experienced players travelling without coach. They have been playing for so many years now that they can figure out for theirselves what to do. You would say Amanda is one of the most experienced players on the Tour, so the coaching shouldn't be the problem. I tend to agree with Rob, she just seems to be past her prime, and it hurts deeply to say that, but it seems true

Or maybe there's something going on we don't know anything about?
