Stolen from MTF.

Well? I found it rather boring, especially on the women's side due to lack of quality, so no, I can't say I enjoyed it.

Not really. I think by this time next year I won't be watching tennis, well very rarely.

was a load of pants really. Justine peaked when needed, but even she played pants in the earlier stages. Maria struggled, Lindsay, Venus, Anastasia, amelie all pulled up short....no serena. Best match imo was the lindsay vs kim match!

It was crap! Kuzzie should've won the whole thing. Kuzzie-----> :retard:

it was HARRIBLE. so bad its gets the annoying accent horrible with an A instead on an O. my eyes hurt when they weren't tearing up from ugliness.

at the start of the tourney you looked at the players and there was a reason for all of them to do badly except justine and kim. when a major is won by who doesn't suck then it's not a good two weeks.

Oh, yes!
I mixed Enna's matches well with old videos of the 87, 88, 93, 95, 96 & 99 finals!

Bits of it. It was great to see Justine win, and it's always fun when kids like Sesil and Ana have Slam breakthoughs. Most of my other favourites crashed out early, though, mostly when they had wide open draws waiting for them (I'm looking at you here, Ms Dementieva). And the quality...well :o It wasn't good to have it confirmed that only three women out of the whole of the WTA Tour have any degree of mental strength. And one of them wasn't here, and one of the others can't play on clay :o

Overall, it wasn't that great, quality-wise...

But I was really happy for Mary making the final :worship:, and was fun to see Lindsay pull out some tough matches on the clay.

The only good match for me was the Mauresmo-Ana match. So no, this year wasn't enjoyable.

Don't cry GoDominique, Monica will come back eventually and you'll rediscover the joy .

Then you can spend all your time here and stop even having to bother with MTF .

Even if I didn't get to see lot's ofmatch, just looking at the stats and the final results, it's easy to say that it was quite pathetic.

I agree with sartrista7, What I will remember most from this FO is the clear fact that most of the players are soft in the head except Juju, they all need some psych help ASAP!!!

Simply and udderly horrendous. I thought Mary winning it all would make it ok...but obviously that didn't happen.

I think it was one the worst Grand Slams in a long time.... really... i cannot remember of a GS of which you could not get a single GOOD match. And im being objective, cause I was ecstatic that Lindsay finally got to beat Kim again and in clay, but still.....

I enjoyed a lot of the individual matches. Especially week one. This is the second year in a row the final was kinda crappy though. The semis weren't much either. This is the first slam in a long time where I have to say the men's side had more theatre.

Having the top four seeds crash and burn the way they did was a bit shocking.

I enjoyed seeing Lindsay FIGHT through matches :bounce: I expected more from Golovin, though. And I have no idea why I bet my roommate $5 and a week's worth of washing the dishes that Sharapova would beat Henin-Hardenne. :smash: (And he'll dirty as many of them as he can...damn him!)

I thought that it was the worst Slam since 2000 French Open.

The fact that Pierce (with all the respect to her..) could reach the final today discribes the most awful Roland Garros i've ever seen and that has nothing to do with Pierce, because she just did what she had to do (take breaks from a minute between each point ;)) but the level of the matches and the tournament was just making me cry sometimes..

I enjoyed a few matches of the French Open, mainly in the first week. Watching Ana's match against Mauresmo being the highlight - first time i've seen Ivanovic play - she's brilliant!
Also the emergence of Sesil Karatantcheva was a positive.

The semi-finals and final were just an amazing anti-climax, would've loved to see some actual contests.

Full credit to Justine, from the match against Sharapova she lifted her level and was amazing. was simply brilliant just watching her play alone, just a pitty that she wasn't really tested in the semis / final.

I'm happy that Justine won, but overall no but only because there were no intriguing match ups at all. Lindsay versus Kim was intriguing, and that's it. Maria versus Justine was too but Maria is simply no match for Justine on this stuff.

Yeah this year's FO sucked stewed beets. And I'm being kind.
Where was the drama? Where was the excitement? Where were the amazing comebacks? I'm happy to see that Mary did well enough to reach the final, but damn, losing 1 and 1?
For a Slam event, this was by far one of the worst. I actually lost interest in the middle of the first week. I hope Wimbledon makes up for this snorefest in a big way.

Ehm... up and down. It was nice to see Mary Pierce and Sesil Karatantcheva do so well... but you know, I'm a Mauresmo fan, and therefore can't help being disappointed. Moreover the final was a complete wash-out. Other disappointments: Dementieva, Myskina, Kuznetsova (what's with the Russians?), Clijsters. Eh well.
