Congrats to both for making the final but come on and give the people their moneys worth.

This is beyond boring.

Bring on Wimbledon already.

Bitter, because I didn't get to see a competitve well played final? Yes, but oh well Wimbledon is around the corner.

If you enjoyed that final I feel sorry for you because you need more exposure to what a true competitve tennis match can mean for fans.

So I guess you didn't enjoy RG final '02? :)

And yes, yesterday was the "real" men's final. It was SOOOOOOOO interesting and high quality match, right? :) :) :)

what with all the federrors and enough breaks to make Aniko Kapros proud?

actually it was an ok match, just not 'the match of the tournament' by any stretch as it was being advertised

so Fed made a few errors. i seem to recall a certain fanbase saying that they count forced errors when a certain persons 70+ errors in a match were highlighted  it was competitive and dramatic if not "clean"

Yep, been ready for the men's final for a while now. Enjoyed the Roger-Nadal semi, and IMO it was Roger's to lose. I believe that the grinding will catch up to Rafa one day but good luck in the final to him.

As for today's women's final it was the most boring final I have ever seen. It was like a 3rd round matchup. I was already certain Justine would trounce her so no suprise there at all.

All slams finals so far "happened" in previous rounds:
AO - Federer vs Safin, Sharapova vs Serena.
FO - Federer vs Nadal, Kuznetsova vs Henin.

And yes: Safin vs Hewitt, Serena vs Davenport and Justine vs Pierce were horrible finals. I hope Nadal vs Puerta will be better, although I doubt that.

Serena vs Davenport was not good either, but at least it went to three sets. Today it was like Justine was playing a first round opponent:lol:

The way they talked was as though Puerta need not even play tomorrow.

Sounds like someone is a little bitter that Justine's 6-1, 6-1 victory was the most lopsided Grand Slam final since Graf's 1988 6-0, 6-0 victory over Zvereva at the French Open.

Waahh! Waahh! Cry baby.

I know, this thread would have a lot more value if it weren't being spewed from the bitterness of the Justine-hatin' Cybelle, who still apparently isn't over the fact that her favorites were a non-factor as of ages ago in Paris...

Safin-Hewitt was a very decent final.. The best AO final in years..

Just because your favorite won it doesn't mean it was a good match. Federer vs Nadal was "exciting", but very low quality match - I'm talking about the Nasdaq-100 Open final. Whatever.

Best matches are always in the quarters and semis. :)
