I would like to direct a new game for WTAworld. I was thinking of how to do a point system, and I though that it would be cool for participants to send in like five sets of points every week for R32, R16, QF, S, F (there could be more/less rounds)...Example:

"Daffy, here are my sets for Open Gaz De France:

R32-50-00-50
R16-25-25-50
QF-10-20-70
SF-00-00-100
F-16-17-67"

You have to pick a "real" professional.

The schedule will go something like this:

Medibank International
Australian Open
Pan Pacific Open
Open Gaz De France
Diamond Games
Qatar Open
Dubai Women's Open
Pacific Life Open
Nasdaq-100 Open
Bausch & Lomb Championships
Family Circle Cup
J&S Cup
German Open
Italian Open
Roland Garros
The Hastings Direct International Championships
Wimbledon
Bank Of The West Classic
Acura Classic
JPMorgan Chase Open
Rogers AT & T Canada Cup
Pilot Pen Tennis
US Open
China Open
FORTIS Championships
Porsche Tennis Grand Prix
Kremlin Cup
Zurich Open
Generali Ladies Open
Advanta Championships
WTA Tour Championships

You are allowed to play as many tournaments as you want. The ranking system would work something like this:

WINNER- 167
FINALIST- 81
SEMIFINALIST- 38
QUARTERFINALIST- 16
R16- 9
R32- 2

def. #1- 120
def. #2- 60
def. #3-#5- 30
def. #6-#10- 15

If you guys have any questions/comments/suggestions, just ask!

Wow, wow. Hold up there, Sanazakaya!

Do you like the game? Do you think any changes could be made? What should the name of the game be?

Yes, seems like ETPA with 5 sets, but still fun :) I'm not really good with names i'm afraid but I play/have played almost every game :)

I'm interested to be Shuai Peng (CHN). But, I don't understand the five different sets of points. I mean, what is the purpose for that. I think we should have like 100 points for the opening round match and whoever is ranked high enough, they keep the 100 points, but up-and-comers only get 90 or something like that. I just don't understand the purpose of having 5 exact sets of pts.

5 sets of points each week is just too many. Ppl will lose interest.

I'm just trying to figure out a point system that none of the other games have. I really like the point system on WGTA, but I need to be original.

I really like this idea, anniflava. There will be a few changes to it, though. I'm still working this out.

What if I were to do 5 sets of points, but for each set, the # of points lowers:

50-50-00
50-40-00
40-40-00
30-40-00
20-10-30

???

Okay, I have another (maybe better) idea for a point system:

You have 800 points to split between 15 sets:

R32: 53-53-53 (159 pts.)
R16: 53-54-55 (162 pts.)
QF: 60-60-60 (180 pts.)
SF: 50-60-70 (180 pts.)
F: 20-30-67 (119 pts.)

I really like this idea because it really depends on how well your strategy is. For example, you could have a strategy of putting 400 points in your R32 and 400 points in your R16, but you won't win any other matches. It really depends on the goodness of your strategy is.

You can choose retired players who have been retired for 8 years or less (Hingis, Vicario, Graf, Novotna etc...).

do u mean the pts for every tournament are the same? No way!
So being a GS champ and a Tier V champ get the same pts!

No, no. That's not the ranking system anymore. The ranking system will be Prize Money.

Maybe I should just round it off to 1, 000 points between 15 sets??

Just to let everybody know that there will be Doubles (every tournament) and Mixed Doubles (at the Slams), so don't waste time getting teams!

Thanks to Sanazakaya (Myskina), anniflava (Peng), Samsonsam (Srebotnik), Hautbois (Na), Carma (Vaidisova), and Buitenzorg (Hingis) for "activating" the new game!

We will use this thread for the game until I get a forum (which I don't know how to do.)

Venus Williams will join.

TO get a forum, you have to go to the "Bugs/Error reporting or Questions" forum, found on the hompage of wtaworld.com, and start a forum in there asking for a new forum (tell them the name) in the games section.

at least im pretty sure thats how you do it.
