Given that she is now beating top 15 players regularly, when will she reach top 10?
She has 800.75 points now not counting warsaw tourney and no.10 Vera Zvonareva has 2179 points whom she beat rather easily yesterday

I'm pretty much sure it's bound to happen, but not this year. I believe this still is a learning year for her and I'd be more than satisfied with her being inside top 20 by the end of the season. Top 10 is possible next year, or 2007.

I watched her play all her matches at the nasdaq and let me tell you she is an awesome player. I know she will be top ten but not this year. Unfortuntly things are a mess at the top and im afraid there is no room for her to squeeze through unless she wins a major and I dont see that happeneing this year.

After French Open, cos' she'll win it, or before wimbledon.
Not 2006, and most ceternly not 2007.

early next year I think. This year is too early. She has a good shot of becoming top 15 with good draws and decent slam results. SHe definitely has the game to be in the top 15.

I think the real question is "when WONT Ana reach the Top 10?"...the answer: NEVER.

Why r u being a dickhead :o . If I said the same thing about vaidsova, golovin or some other youngster I fould have been maliciously attacked :fiery: .
But ANA will make you eat those words, very soon :wavey: .

can you please explain what you mean. You use two negatives and I am really confused because of it. Thanks :)

Oops, wrongly pressed after US Open. I agree that things on TOP10 are a mess and she won't reach it this year. I think after Miami 06, but TOP15 can happen this year, for sure.

The girl has game but there is no room at the top right now. She's not as focused or intense as Sharapova so her winning a slam this year is not going to happen. She needs to move better. She also needs to stop showing frustration in match because she lets the opponent know about it immediately. Top 15. I don't even know about that. Jankovic , Golovin, and Vaidisova seem to be trying to get there as well if not faster. Top 20. She has a realistic shot at a season ending ranking of 16-20. She'll probably be ranked between 20-25 at the end of the season unless she storms through the hard court season.

She's already not top-10, so you're 1,000% WRONG! :D

next year

Either after US or early next year...

Either next year or after USO. She's definitely gonna be top 10 reletively soon...And she's a future number one.^_^

Lemonskin:good try but you are still wrong, because in vernacular English the statement simply says "when will she not reach the top 10? Never."
The double negative in logic implies a positive,i.e. she will reach the top ten eventually.

I think what he means is that at some point she will reach top 10

"when WONT Ana reach the Top 10?"...the answer: NEVER

meaning she won't not reach top 10

thats my understanding anyway

not sure if it will be this year

we have Kim and Justine to get back into top 10 remember ;)

well, with justine and kim soon to re-renter the top10, she's gunna have to play some amazing tennis in order to get through.
don't forget that the fidderence between 60th place and 30th is a good tierI week sometimes, but top20 requires you8 to battle the likes of golovin, farina-elia, schiavone, asagoe and so on.
not exactly no-quality players on thier own.
she's gunna play wel on grass and then mini-slump.
just out of the top20 by the end of the year.

It's only a matter of time...

Apr 30th, 2005, 09:19 AM
right now she does not have top 10 game, but it may change...

Apr 30th, 2005, 09:28 AM
After she reaches #11?

Apr 30th, 2005, 09:31 AM
If she keeps playing like these during this whole year left she can reach the top 10 after the US Open for sure! But I think it will be next year. She will also still have some ups and downs in this year. So I hope for her after the US Open.. but I think next year.

Apr 30th, 2005, 02:41 PM
I don't see her being quite ready yet, but next year at this time I EXPECT her to be in the Top 10, if not, the Top 5.
