Report: 'Will & Grace' to return
Show would enter eighth season in fall

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- "Will & Grace" should be back for an eighth season.

The Hollywood Reporter, citing unidentified sources, said Monday that NBC and the show's producers have reached a deal for the 2005-06 season.

The network declined to comment.

Stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally won salary increases in the one-year deal despite speculation they might have to settle for pay cuts, the trade paper said.

The actors each will receive between $13 million to $15 million for the season, or roughly $600,000 per episode, the paper said -- compared to the estimated $400,000 per episode they got this season.

Mullally and Hayes will earn as much as Messing and McCormack for the first time since the series debuted in 1998, the Reporter said.

NBC, which had been riding high on the strength of comedies including "Friends," has had difficulty cultivating replacements for its long-running or departed shows.

Jack and Karen definitely are the reason why one laughs the most with that show! It's only fair that they finally earn as much as Will and Grace :worship:

This show is so tired now. It used to be THE funniest show on television, until about the 4th season. I can't even watch anymore because it's gone down the hill so much.

it is absolutely ridiculous how much money actors in get in shows that really average repetitive humour.

Which is the season where Karens husband dies and Grace marries? It's on here now (for the 2nd time).

It is on everywhere lol...They have too many reruns, i think that is the main problem of the show!

Well I think it's a hysterical show to this day!

Will & Grace is hilarious. Although I do agree that it has been going a little 'downhill'. Haven't watched in a while. The writers have to make Will more likeable. It seems like he's always bitching about something.. Karen and Jack ARE the show!

Funniest episode was when Matt Damon guest starred!

I think the show has gone downhill since Leo first appeared on it. He had nothing to do with the show and it killed Grace's and by sideline Will's characters a bit.

Karen for me is the show, though the others are great as well. I hope they can do it better next season. First, I have to catch up because I really have no idea of what's happening on the show.

It's kinda sad that these kind of sitcoms have no space anymore on TV. Clearly Friends was the last big hit and others such as Frasier, Everybody Loves Raymond, Will & Grace and That 70's Show either ended/are ending or will soon enough. They're better than most reality shows and investigation series together.

I hope Desperate Housewives starts a new trend of dark comedies with a bit of drama (actually it wasn't the show which started it all, as there's Six Feet Under and Sex and the City).
