Want an iTrip. Are they really better than the in car casette adaptor? I've read some reviews and some people cant get them to work?
Anyone know where I can get them in the UK? Can't find them on www.apple.com/ukstore :(

transmits a radio signal from your iPod into your cars FM radio. It picks up the waves. Its kinda like a CD autochanger, without the CD's, and 1050 songs :D

I think my girlfriend has that (I'm totally clueless about stuff like this) but she has her iPod in her car and she like turns the radio to a certain station and then it works or um... yeah... I dunno  The sounds good though.

I'm sorry but it's so crap. But maybe that's coz i just don't know how to use it. Well, anyways, I didn't set the tuner and i think it was 87.6 - which was the set tuner. I tuned into that and had to put my ipod literally close to the radio for it to produce a good sound. And it bugs me because they have these '100.1, etc' as my songs, so when it plays it's basically just weird beeping noises.

imo, the cassette adapters have better sound. I've heard iTrips also suck the juice right out of your battery, so it's best to use them when your iPod is plugged in.

I wish I had a cassette, but it's a CD :( (i never thought I'd be saying that  )
I bought the charger from apple, 35 quid, and another 35 of some other site for the trip. It better be good :p

in my experience it depends of your car antenna...In my car it works like shit, so I use the tape....

my boyfriend had one and it SUCKED. every station was staticky. it was so bad that we didn't even bother listening to it in the car. i don't think it's very good if you live between two cities.
for christmas, i bought him an alpine receiver with the ipod adapter. the sound quality is AMAZING. the only complaint is that it takes forever to scroll through all the artists, so it's best to have lots of playlists. supposedly, alpine will come out with receivers that are "ipod friendly" and scroll through just like ipods do.
