Our sixth form had this Dr. Schmitt in yesterday and gave a talk about how we think, psychology when it comes to revision etc. It was pretty fun but a bit of a doss too. We were given all these challenges in a group. One of them was answering "tricky" questions within 3 minutes. It was pretty tough and my group kept making a noise coz they werent really listening much throughout. I tried to pay attention for this because I love trivia Q's :o

Anyway, I'll give you the 10 questions, see if you can get them. Try doing them on a piece of paper in 3 minutes, to do it properly ;) I'll write the answers at the bottom as people post the correct ones :)

1. Runs all day, but never walks, Often murmers, but never talks; It has a bed, but never sleeps; It has a mouth but never eats. What is it?

2. What grows bigger the more you take out of it?

3. How many times can you subtract the number 2 from 50?

4. Mr. and Mrs. Rabbit have six children who are boy rabbits. Each boy rabbit has two sisters. How many children are in the Rabbit family?

5. Every morning, Mr Finster takes three minutes to biol and egg for his breakfast. One day, two friends join him for breakfast. How long will it take him to boil 3 eggs? (this one was too easy  )

6. Not far outside the town of Pottsville, a railroad track runs through a tunnel in a hillside. There is only one track, and the tunnel is wide enough for only one train. But, one day, two trains went into the tunnel from opposite directions. Each train entered the tunnel at 8 o'clock. Three minutes later each train came out at the opposite end of the tunnel. Yet there was no collision! How was this possible?

7. A bus driver was going down a street. He went right past a stop sign without stopping. He turned left where was a "No Left Turn". Then he went the wrong way on a one-way street. And yet he didnt break a single traffic law. Why not? (easy)

8. If five horses can eat five bags of oats in five minutes, how long will it take 100 horses to eat 100 bags of oats? :o

9. Two mothers and two daughters decided to go shopping. They found that they had 27 in pound coins. They divided up the money evenly, without making any of the pounds into change so they had ecactly the same amount. How was this possible? (this is a good one)

10. It was the first day of school. The teacher had several new students in the class. She asked all the children to write their names and their date of birth to her. The frist two names she looked at were those of girls. She saw that they both had the same last name. They also had the same Birthday. "Will Jane and June Campbell please stand?" asked the teacher. Two girls stood up, and the teacher saw that they looked just alike. "oh, you're the twins" she said. One of the girls shook her head. "No" she said. "we're sisters, but we're not twins" How could they be sisters and the the same age, but not twins? (easy)

I hope people are interested :p I'm very bored

Number 9 - 9 each as it was a grandmother, a mother and a daughter. 3 generations = 2 mothers, 2 daughters.

Well everyone. Because if you have ages to think about them they become easy :p It's really the time that made them really hard to get all ten. Our group got 8 which wasnt bad.
