I watched it recently out of sheer curiousity ( and to see Halle in a skin-tight catsuit  ) just to see if the movie was really as horrible as the critics made out. Well I disagree with the critics, this movie didn't really deserve to be slaughtered by them. Ok it isn't brilliant by any means but it is entertaining and with Halle in a catsuit, how could it go so wrong!! The movie really didn't deserve to bomb like it did and I don't know why it claimed so many razzies. :o  I was really expecting Catwoman to stink before I watched it (coz of all the negative reviews it got, plus the razzie awards) but I was pleasantly surprised.I think the critics were just purposely looking for a potential blockbuster movie to attack and unfortunately Catwoman was picked on. Anyone else like this movie? btw, I recommend the dvd for the awesome feature on the past actresses who have played the character of Catwoman, highly fascinating indeed. :)

Thx to dvd shrink, I have a copy. :o :tape:

It really wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. But the critics have many sheep so not surprising that people that haven't even seen it say it's horrible.

Some parts were cheesy but I thought it was just ok. I think it was better than a lot of movies these so-called critics have orgasms over like "The Hours"... :haha:

yeah, i kinda liked it too. she didn't act badly. the only problem with the movie was that there was no proper villain. sharon stone only had hard skin. no fighting skills.

I only liked Julianne Moore's part.

I'm watching that god awful movie in my Brit Lit class cuz we're studying Woolf's "Mrs. Dalloway".

If anything Sharon Stone should have won that worst actress razzie award. Her acting was far too pantomine-like. Halle acted as best as the character of Catwoman would let her.

I thought the Hours was very boring.

Kidman shouldn't have recieved an Oscar for wearing a fake nose.

To Die For was her best film to date, most of the post divorce stuff she's done is pretentious crap. :p

I never saw Catwoman

sorry V-Mac! :tape:

Nicole was great in "To Die For" and I loved her in "Moulin Rouge" but everything is

I agree that Sharon Stone should have gotten the Razzie.

I kinda liked it i think, but, I was out of it at the time :o

btw, Kidman was good, but she was in the hours for like, less than quarter of the whole thing.

"Moulin Rouge" was a cute concept, enjoyable for about 25 minutes. But as a film, I found it lacking.

Since Dead Calm, I have seen a dozen Kidman films and I only think she has made 3 good films - To Die For, Malice and Flirting.

While she did a good job in Eyes Wide Shut, The Birthday Girl and Dogville; I didn't think they were good films.

The rest were just empty, Oscar bait garbage. :)

Michelle Pfiefer made a much better catwoman, much hotter and didn't look like a prostitute

i agree....this movie took an interesting and potentially complex character and made her cheesy and cliche

I will have to agree with the OP. I was reluctant to rent Catwoman even with a free movielink code I recieved because of the criticism of the film. Well, I decided to watch it and did not think it was that bad. It certainly wasn't the best, but it seems the critics are very selective in what they classify as trash. I have seen some god awful movies that the critics have praised in the past, and I will just judge a movie for myself before listening to these fools.

BTW, Halle rocked that costume!:D

:hearts: Halle certainly did rock that costume  I hear that a Catwoman 2 is in the pipeline but without Halle Berry as she is considered as being too old now to play the part. Can anyone confirm hearing this or maybe it is all rumours.

they ruined the catwoman costume, it was stupid and looked like a stripper outfit.
