View Full Version : Kim's Comments on Justine after winning Charleston

Nice Kim Comments!!

Clay is a lot more stressful on the whole and for my wrist more specifically. Especially if there is some wind around. I'll stick to this schedule until the Warzaw tournament and over there I'll limit myself to playing matches and resting as much as possible.

I'll be going to Poland at the end of this week and I am quite curious about it as I have never played there before. I have heard some positive notes though. The field of contenders is pretty strong as well: Mauresmo, Kuznetsova and Justine. Yesterday, I've seen a part of her final at the Charleston tournament and she was playing very well: on clay she remains difficult to beat .

i'd say that was rather bland for someone like kim. usually she is far too giving in her praise and respect for opponents and it has cost her in the past. it was in no way offensive or anything but to be honest i hope kim has come back a bit tougher and less caring of whether everyone thinks she is a nice girl. she clearly is a great girl and i am in no way saying i want her to be a bitch or anything.

Kim and Justine are not the best of mates but there's no dislike between them either.

I don't know what is the fuss about this comment. The fact that Justine and Kim don't get on with each other doesn't mean they can't show respect! It's not because they're from the same country that they need to like each other either. I wouldn't want to go back into the why and how this is, but glad Kim recognised Justine's talent ;)

Honestly, I would have been surprised if Justine had said, while being asked to comment Kim's injury : I hope she never heals and dies a painful death. It really would have surprised me ;) Plus, it says that Justine never ANSWERED back. I don't think Kim called her to ask her to wish her a good recovery in the media. They're just not meant to be friends, that's all. As long as they respect each other and don't start trash-talking, it's ok.

It reads like a news report. It's Justine's weekend. Why are you trying to
turn this into a "look how great Kim is thread?".

This is what Justine said after her match on Sunday, and I do think
unlike that quote which reads like a news report; this is much more
meaningful. The reporters didn't even ask about Kim. Justine
brought this up and wanted to say how she felt.

"We are back, both of us. That's very good for tennis. But, I want
to say that some people said that we were out of the tour that
we were finished, burned, we were over. I think we proved in the
last few weeks that is not true at all"-

Ok- but notice how many Justine fans went out of their
way to give congrats to kim and her fans. We got nothing
from them, only threads like this or will Kim win RG?. :tape:

there where (ans, bram, hagar, ...) kimfans who congratulated Justine, and there where others who didn't.
Surely not all Jufans congratulated Kim either

She practiced with Justine at Charleston. She didn't at IW or
Miami with Kim. LENA D gave Justine the charming kiss on
the cheek! So TOUCHE! My friends! :wavey:

They don't have to be friends in my opinion. I'd just like them to be civil, which is exactly what both are doing ;)

ok then ;)
It's just not worth maing a 'big deal' over this...
It really means NOTHING. As long as nobody discredits the other player for some dubious reasons, I won't be pissed off.
I have nothing against Kim, but she will never ever ever mean as much to me as Justine does. I'm sure it's vice versa for a lot of other people...

It's not like Justine & Kim were never friends. They grew up playing against each other as children, and they even played doubles together on the tour several times.

I am Justine's fan, obviously and I sort of support Kim in a way because she is also from Belgium and has a good game.

If Ju vs Kim, I cheer for my Ju all the way (and possibly curse at Kim under my breath - childish, I know). But, like with Kim's last 2 tournements, I cheered for her every match.

I don't think they care other each other but they must respect each others as compatriot. Afterall, they are doing goods for the country.

So we really shouldn't crticise every word they say and see if there are any bones in the letters.

Go Belgibabes.

Flogging dead horses indeed! I think its time the Justine v Kim bashers stopped boring the arses off the rest of the fanbases on this forum. I, for one, really can't be arsed with all this anymore. It's all ancient history, thank God

I'd have probably become a fan of hers if she had said that .

Justine vs Kim = no story .

If they do dislike each other we'll only hear about it long after they've retired.

Why does Kim's comment sound like her wrist isn't feeling very well right now? :( That's bad because she's been playing really well lately. Or is she just simply stating that clay will be tougher on her wrist? Or is it starting to hurt again?

Anyway, about Kim & Justine...I don't think we can say anything about their relationship off the court, because for all we know they could be secretly lovers  Unless you're Justine or Kim, you just won't know what they truly feel towards each other: hatred, friendship, or colleague?

Nice Kim Comments!!

Yesterday, I've seen a part of her final at the Charleston tournament and she was playing very well: on clay she remains difficult to beat.
That's not really what I consider "Nice", and definetely not anything to get too excited about. That was more or less like "Stating the Obvious". Sorta like me saying "Marian Jones is fast". I mean, "yeah, no shit", would probably be the response I'd get in return. But hey, if your spectrum of comments are either "Nice" or "Mean", then it was definitely leaning more to the nice side. It was a very respectable comment on JuJu though.

She has stated she doesn't like high balls to her backhand and it might trouble her. That was after her IW QF against Conchita.

Unfortunately, none of her opponents in the next 2 weeks had the common sense to do that. Or maybe they didn't check out her interviews.
