seems like all the top girls are getting ready to meet each other in top form at the same time finally. Well, so im hoping.

If Serena, Venus, Kim, Justine, Maria, Amelie, Lindsay, Nasya, Lena D and Kuzntsova are all in the second week of Roland Garros and are all playing in their very very best form, who do you see winning???

I think i'd maybe pick Kim, she seems like shes very very hungry for it!

Venus or Serena undoubtedly could do it too tho.

If they are all playing in their very best form, then Venus would win easily, no doubt about that.

The one BIG drawback to this argument is that kim has yet to win a grand slam...and she has had opportunities to do so. one wonders if maybe she has a bit of a sabatini quality to her - able to beat anyone on any given day, but may end up with just the one, lucky, grand slam to her name. we shall see.

I don't think it would be Kim. I mean, she is a great defensive player and Serena, Venus, Maria, Justine would ruin her high defensive shots with winners.

1. Serena
2. Justine
3. Maria
4. Venus
5. Kim

I'd love to see a Justine vs. Serena RG final! That would be such a terrific fight!

Of course, Justine would win this match in a controversial way, so WTAworld can have another passionate debate about cheatin' Justine ;)

Serena Williams, but I would rather for Venus to show up. I don't think Kim is ready to take out Serena, Venus or JHH. Venus and JHH are still vunerable to 4rd and Qtr round defeats leaving Serena the last Women standing.

Yeah okay, that's why for the last two years Venus has been getting her ass pounded like a gay porn star

im sorry but i find that comment is in EXTREMELY poor taste :o

i just wonder if Kim and Henins impressive comebacks will continue from now on...i dont think so...i think they'll have that inevitable drop that players have after being out for some time...yea they have had dream comebacks but look at Serena last year.

anyway...if she hadn't been out for so long...Kim would be my tip for RG, providing her nerve could hold out.
cant bet against Serena though. she continuously manages to snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat and is the best overall slam performer out of the top players.

It should be Kim and I hope it is... I hope she doesn't have to meet JHH in the final.

Vera Zvonareva (on her very very best form). And yes, this answer does satisfy the mathematical logic of your question.

Venus' "best" still includes crappy groundstrokes dear, her forehand and backhand are disasters in motion. And yet she's still made a FO final and has more clay titles than Justine, Kim, Serena, or Maria.

It's definitely between the Belgians, Serena, and Maria,Funny how you have so much faith in one who's proven nothing on clay against someone who's proven so much on that surface like Venus. If Venus has been getting her ass pounded on clay like a gay porn star, then Maria's been getting her's pounded like a 2 dollar crack hoe in an alley between Daryl Strawberry and Bobby Brown's house.

and going with current form, I'll pick Kimmy."Current form" doesn't always hold up in slam finals.

On clay:

1. Justine
2. Maria
3. Serena

everyone else. If this weren't a slam, Kim would be in the top four (probably above Serena at this point.) However, Kim still hasn't proven that she can win important matches.

Why are we even discussing Venus? She hasn't won a slam in three and a half years.

and kim has:rolleyes: , justine too hasn't won a slam title in over a year, unless you thin maria's more recent slam is worth more than justine's 3 or venus' 4.
while maria is unproven on clay, why is her name on your list!

On clay, definitely Justine. I think that her techanical form on clay (she really set up for her shot best on this surface over anyone) and her tenacity can beat just about anyone.
Serena would be my second choice. Kim is the better clay court player, but Serena's fight can beat just about anyone, any day, and on any surface.
Kim would be my third pick. She's an amazing mover and can play on clay. Obviously if this wasn't a slam, her chances to win would be greater.
Maria Sharapova would round out my top 4. I don't like the girl at all. There's nothing about her that impresses me, but I think that like Serena and Justine, this girl is a fighter. I put her at 4th because she will fight for every point like it's a Wimbledon championship point. This girl loves to win and she'll fight against anyone.

What a draw that would be....

Lindsay vs Schnyder
Venus vs Dementieva
Serena vs Zvonareva
Myskina vs Petrova
Kuznetsova vs Henin-Hardenne
Mauresmo vs Dechy
Molik vs Clijsters
Sharapova vs Golovin

QF:
Lindsay vs Venus
Serena vs Petrova
JHH vs Mauresmo
Sharapova vs Clijsters

SF:
Venus vs Serena
JHH vs Clijsters

F: Serena vs JHH

Winner: JUSTINE!

If everyone's playing their best then the Williams Sisters would meet in the final. The whole point is that they haven't gotten back to the level they were at when they were dominating. But at their best they run faster, hit harder, and compete better than any of the other girls.
