This could just be from my stupid perspective, but I have the opinion that surfaces are less decisive in womens tennis than in mens. Most good female players are good on all surfaces, but sometimes have a slight preference of surface. I don't think the Williams sisters have any problems on any surface. They are dominant on clay, hardcourt and grass.
Any other opinions :confused:

But I agree that there are no real surface specialists on the women's side.

dont forget venus did pretty well last clay season so they can dominate on clay (venus can anyway) if they really get in form. but agree surfaces dont mean much in womens tennis, at least not with the best players (top 10/15). lower down the ranks i think there are more specialists though.

same thought here :D

surface on men tennis really mean a lot to player :( see Andy never do well in RG and Guillermo never do well in Wimbledon :(
