There would be ...

18 players from USSR
6 players from Yugoslavia
9 players from Czechoslovakia

In the top 100

That is 33 % Which is very impresive!

I'm sure there are lot more players from those 3 regions in the top 200

but i'm too lazy to find it.

I just wish Serbia and Croatia would come together as one country  . Like before. :)
The FED CUP team would be unstopable.
We could be stronger then anyone in both ATP and WTA :worship:

well, the world developed and countries breaking is a sign of advance - you could say that if the british empire were still together - molik, mirza and smashnova were english.
it just doesn't work that way - but yes, the eastern block believe in sports as a value and thus they have great sports achievments in any sport.

as for serbia and croatia - they both are so incredible (in all sports that is) that there is no use in thinking what they could have been - nowadays they push each other forward and i see that as a blessing.

geo-politics is one of the most intresting courses in history. i wanted to learn history and philosophy of education in Uni, but i have alot of years before that.
