Tatiana's had a great week, but JHH loves the dirt

Tatiana is awesome
Henin still isn't match tough
but Henin is the better player overall.
Tati has a great chance though  hope she takes it :)

Justine should win, but Tatiana's playing some good consistent tennis.

Justine in 3:cool:

I really don't know.
Seems like Tati is very consistent, so it will depend on JU
She will have to play a LOT better than she played today...
I think Tati (in 2!!!) *hopes not*

Tati hasn't dropped a set. Justine's dropped sets to Jankovic, Peng and an injured Davenport. It's definitely clear who's in better form, but it's also clear who's better at raising her game when she needs to. I'll tentatively go for Tati, actually, though if it goes to three Justine will thrive.

Whatever the result, one of my favourites will be in the final, and I like everyone left in the bottom half too

Well, Justine loves the dirt, which this surface is not! ;)

Good luck Justine, it's gonna be tough!

You gotta raise her level!

I definitely would love for Justine to make it to the finals. She is not playing as well as she was in '03 but she still has a chance of winning the tournament without playing her best tennis.

if Justine is going to play the way shes been playing this tournament and if tatiana is going to play the shes been playing this tournament,i think we'll see an upset with tatiana winning. but i see justine winning in 2 close sets.

I hope Golovin, she's got a good chance. Justine will probably raise her game enough to eek it out though.

Justine in straight sets.

The more Justine plays the tougher she will become especially on the dirt. She took a set off of the two hottest players so far this year in her comeback. Davenport and Sharapova. I think she will win this with the score like something 6/3 6/2

If Justine doesn't pick it up from today's performance she'd best look elsewhere for her next title.

That said, she's still the favourite IMHO.

I think Justine will win in 2 but i want Tati to win it in 3. Tati will have to be consistent with her serve and groundies and take every chances she gets. Cmon Tati..i know u can win tomorrow :rocker2:

From what I've heard Henin-Hardenne hasn't been playing that well while Tati has. I hope Tati! :D This would really great for her if she could reach the Finals! :yeah:

I hope Tati wins it. I like both a lot but Tati a little more. Plus Tati has never been to the finals of a Tier 1.

I think Justine will probably win though if she can limit the double faults.

Golovin can't really hurt JHH. JHH played well today, but Davenport was just smacking the ball up her throat (until she stopped moving.) Golovin has about half Davenport's power. I expect JHH to win in two.

Tatiana has made the top 20. Top 16 and beating another former number 1 would really ice her cake.

Justine doesn't look all back yet or totally fit. but on the other hand she won GS looking 3/4 dead .......

Interesting comments. I love to watch Lindsay stroke the ball; when she is hitting it cleanly no one can stand toe to toe with her. I had to keep telling myself that as I watched Justine scrambling from side to side. OTOH, Golovin is one of the smoothist strikers of the ball that I've seen in quite awhile. She never seems hurried, her strokes are technically perfect, and she hasn't made an unforced error in three years  Tati reminds me of a modern day Chris Evert.

If Justine's on (which I doubt, this early in her comeback), she has the fire power and game to win in two. If not, Golovin will slowly grind her down and win in three.

Is this really true?

if it is, its amazing considering how tough the game this generation is.

BTW,

I hope Justine wins, if not, still happy for a very good tournament.

Justine in 2 ... but it could be hard! Golvin made some amazing shots against VEnus (only saw 20min) but on Justine's game is totaly different! Go for it Zuzu!

I don't know about this one - JHH is dangerous on clay but Tatiana is demolishing players out there and is on fire.

Expect a tough three set tussle.

Juju likes to play against a though player, but she's still coming back, so impossible to predict.

I think it will be hard, but Tati really can win it in 2, looking at what she's just already done this week, she can do it!!!!!
Go Tati!!

A lot depends on Justine's serve which is why I hope it's not so windy today as it was yesterday. She'll definately need a first serve % of +50 %.

Looks like trouble!

Based on what I'm reading about Golovin's skeels, if Justine constructs her points wisely, as she is wont to do, she should be able to dismantle Golovin's game in short order. Be aggressive, come to net, shorten the points with good volleys, serve in the 50's, keep her guessing. If Justine does that, should be 2 & 3.

If not,...

flip a coin.

I love the way this girl plays! Golovin strikes the ball beautifuly and it's so nice to see a young player who isn't afraid to volley. She's still a bit raw and needs to work on her shot selection, but definitely has the potential to become a top 5 player.

Golovin seems to have put on a some weight since last year, which is her case is a good thing. She looks great. I hope Golovin can win this match and goes on to do well at the French. I'm very impressed with her.

Golovin reminds me a lot of Kournikova, except Tatiana has a better serve. Golovin has a good all-around game, has consistent groundstrokes, yet she can be streaky mentally. She's had Justine on the ropes a bit in this match, but then she'll play 3-4 loose points in a row out of nowhere. It's kind of odd.
