I spotted it on ebay yesturday, though I was in luck. I was going to bid on it but I thought I'd better ask how much it will cost to post to the UK. I thought the postage within the USA was a bit steep at $10 (ie. £5ish). So I asked "how much would it cost for postage to the UK?" and their response was "around $25" (which is like £13). I was like  ....I wanted to send an email back asking if the bobblehead was made of gold!

Yesturday I bought two large, heavy items from a seller in the States and postage for both is only going to be $40 (£20)....this bobblehead is a fiddly little thing that can easyly be protected with a bit of bubble wrap - they must think I've fallen off a Christmas tree if they think I'm going to pay that much!

Anyone who has that sort of money to spend can bid here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5185778154&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

As much as I want a bobblehead, I can't justify spending that much on P&P. I still can't believe it!

That's how they make extra money, by charging way more than it actually costs in postage. I hate it, ebay shouldn't allow it.

Now I might have considered it had they have told me $10.....they're just after the extra cash! I think I will give them what for! Are you sure it's the same item being sold by fritz22reds@yahoo.com (fritz22reds@yahoo.com)if so, I might complain to Ebay. Do you still have the email? If so, can you send it to me at raygoin@yahoo.com (it's my ebay addy)?

If I don't complain to ebay, then I will at least hit the seller with the lower S&H quote ;)

Gits!

well, maybe Ace Mag will do a "Win a Lindsay Davenport Bobblehead" competition! That's the only way i'm gonna be getting one! unless Wimby do something similar.

I did find a company online that makes bobbleheads from photos. You could even have one of yourself done but that costs $350 per bobblehead, unless you get 100 in which case they are $10 each! http://www.thebobblehead.com/how_it_works.html It's probably this company that the WTA used.

HA HA HA, Northerners have just won, i got my flag off of ebay for £5 including postage. YAY!
All i need now is a god damn bobble head.
OOO i saw some beach type 'perfect for wimby' tents at 'home bargains' another northern shop (much like pound stretcher) for £4.
BARGAIN.!
OOOO a flag i can deface, cant work out the transfer stuff, so will be getting a nice thick marker pen instead. It better be water proof like the last one i had, it rains too much at wimby and i have left the trend of wearing black plastic bags behind...in saying that..if it pisses it down again, i may resort back! :bounce:

I already have one of those Beach tents which I was going to use, we bought it for cheap when I went to Illfracome a couple of years ago. I don't think the "cheaper" ones are very water proof though. I have seen a desent one at Millets for £15:

I like the fact that it will be easy to put up - apparently! And being about 7 ft x 5 ft, means that there is plenty of space for one person and their luggage. It might be green but a few pictures and flags should brighten it up!
