Justine will win. She is the better clay court player.

justine, she knows how to play lindsay, especially on clay = justine's best surface :-)

lol everyones better than lindsay on the clay crap! lindsay plays it like a hard or grass court. But she can pull it off and is on fire atm!

Lindsay. JuJu isn't even close to being match tough yet and Lindsay is on fire:eek:

Btw, I'm one of those odd ones who think Justine is now a better hard-court player than clay-courter.

yes lindsay is on a roll and justine is just coming back. but judging from last week's final against SFE, i think justine has a chance.

It depends on which Justine shows up. If both players play their best, Justine in 2. But, I just don't think Justine is together yet...

Justine isn't together yet. She's physically there now but not mentally. Lindsay knows this is her opportunity to show everyong including herself that she can play with the best on clay. I think Lindsay will find a way to stay positive during the match and win in three.

JuJu :bounce:

Anyways I think if JuJu wins the 1st set than it'll be over in 2. But if Davy wins the 1st set, then I believe JuJu will still take it in 3. Reason for this is: JuJu is a FIGHTER (like Rena. Sorry had to fit that on in there ;) ) and doesn't give up, even when she's behind. Sorry but Davy is not. When down, especially against a top player, she tends to get down on herself and her game tends to regress too.

Anyways, I can almost bet Lindsay in three. Lindsay has been playing very well and Justine just hasn't had the time on court like Lindsay. Although this is Justine and it's also on dirt so it could go either way.

If Lindsay gets off to nice lead, I think she can run with it.

I simply voted for Justine because even though I am a supporter of Lindsay, Justine is my ultimate favorite player. I am not sure if Justine is ready, but I think that if she can get a lot of first serves in and mix things up and make Lindsay move around, then she has got a chance of pulling off an upset. We will just have to see what happens but I am hoping that Justine can pull this one out.

IMO, Lindsay wins in two or she doesn't win at all.

this is how i feel as well. i know that right now lindsay is the better player, but if she doesn't win in 2, i don't think justine will let her get away.

Faste I kind of agree with you, ever since she adopted a more hardcourt power game style, her clay court game style has seemed to fade a bit. Its like once you become an impatient hard court attacking player its hard to be patient and think about a strategy of keeping rallies long enough in order to arrive at the right moment to win on a clay court rally. However shes still talented enough and versatile enough to realize she can still employ her clay court skills to prove again she once was the more tactically efficient clay court player of her generation.

I really, really want Justine to win this title. I feel like she's the best clay courter going into this tournament and she really should win. I know that she's not really playing as well as Lindsay, but hopefully she'll up her level tomorrow and take this title. :bounce:
Best of luck Justine!

Juju owns Lindsay, just like Kim did. The cream is rising to the Top: it is iminent. Justine Henin-Hardenne will win this match. This is clay, pople. :)

I think Davenport will win just b/c I'm not sure if Justine is match tough yet.

Although the fact that she took Sharapova to 3 sets makes me think she can beat Davenport. Plus she has had a lot of success against Davenport in the past.

Still I think it is too early for her to be able to defeat some one like Davenport. Hope I'm wrong.

I'd pick Justine. Something like 7-5 6-3.

Lindsay has been playing great lately..but Justine has shown improvement in her last match, and she's a huge fighter.

This can go either way imo. If I had to bet money I'd put it on Lindsay.. but I'd say Lindsay has about 60% chance, Justine 40%

Well, I don't know how you can say her claycourt game style has faded away! Last year she played only 2 tournaments, and she was ill in both of them, and this year is her first clay tournament, she has played what, 3 matches, the 3rd one being quite good, so I don't know how you can make a conclusion based on 3 matches, especially when Justine has always been known for being rusty at the beginning of a tournament, no matter how good she played in the later rounds...

Oh and my prediction: Lindsay should win, but Justine will win ;)

JUSTINE IS LIKE A "BETE NOIR" FOR LINDSAY, BUT NOW THAT SHE IS NOT AT HER BEST IT COULD GO BOTH WAYS, BUT COUNTING LINDSAY'S MENTAL PROBLEMS WHEN FACING JUSTINE i'D SAY JHHH.

Justine has a stronger chance as its on clay.

If this was on HC, Lindz would be too strong @ this stage of Juju's comeback :)

I really want my justine to win .. perhaps in 3sets.

I would like Justine to win, she'd win points !!!
I don't want to see her meeting top seeds in 1sts rounds of the FO...Imagine a 1/8 Kim vs Justine !!!

I won't vote in this poll, tho, cuz I'm afraid that'll bring bad luck :retard: :bolt:

As long as I don't have to see 4-0 in Lindsay's favor and have infite break points and then loose the set. :)

Hopefully Lindsay can get off to a good start and hope that Justine isn't playing her best.

GOD, if ESPN doens't show this...

It's one of the matches Justine fans are excited and dreading about. On one hand Justine is still recovering from her lack of matchplay, on the other, she is a better clay court player.

Tough call. It's really, as one of the above posters said, a 60% Linz and 40% Ju match. But that's just on game play, how about mental toughness? Ju surely is the toughest (along with Serena I must add) in this department and we all know Lindsay has a soft spot for the Belgians. With this in mind, it's really a 50-50 match, in my opinion.

I hope Justine can pull this through, not just because I am a fan but also it makes the Tour more interesting to have another top top player competing without being disavantaged by seeding arrangement etc.

In the UK, Eurosport has not been showing the tournement. I think tomorrow night is the first 'replay' of A quarterfinal of Charleston.

Can anyone remember Eurosport promise to have even better coverage of the WTATour back in early 2003? (When the coverage prior to that was amazing).

It has been shit after that.
