Save the Bluths! Please don't let them cancel it :( I LOVE Arrested Development. We've only had Season 1 here so far but I am looking forward to Season 2. It's such a smart show with great scripts. How can Fox cancel it when it just won the Best Comedy Emmy? The characters are great too, especially George Michael, Tobias and Mrs Bluth. And the Chinese adopted brother! I hope they don't cancel it

I just heard on the E! channel that they will be bringing back Arrested Development for next season. The only thing that is not for sure is if it is a 13 episode order or a full 22 season order. :D :bounce:
I would assume that t he producers, writers etc will work extra hard on story lines as the ratings really need to go up early next year in order to insure a full season and beyond survival. I really love this show..i hope they can promote the show better next year. The cast also needs to get there buts out on Talk Shows next year to help get the word out...especialy Portia De Hotti!! :hearts: ;)

That's nice and she's great on the show but there are so many other reasons to watch AD. :)

Fox renews ''Arrested Development.'' Despite low ratings that threatened the show's existence, the Emmy-winning comedy will return for a third season by Gary Susman

ALL SMILES ''Arrested'' (starring Jason Bateman) is back in development

It's pretty rare for a cult of ardent fans to be able to save a low-rated TV show; witness the great lengths to which Trekkers went this spring, even raising millions of dollars in production money, in a vain attempt to keep UPN's Star Trek: Enterprise on the air. Yet fans of Fox's Arrested Development — including many of the nation's TV critics — have managed to save the Emmy-winning but little-watched comedy from extinction. After a weekend of rumors, Fox confirmed on Monday that the saga of the eccentric Bluth family will be back for another full season this fall.

For a new network programming chief, it's a no-brainer to cancel low-rated shows, which he or she can write off as failures of the old regime. But Peter Liguori, the newly minted Fox Broadcasting president of entertainment, made a point of saving the two-year-old sitcom, he said in a statement. ''Arrested Development is one of the best comedies on television. The decision to order another season becomes easy when you consider its amazing cast, creative brilliance, critical acclaim, and advertiser appeal,'' he said. ''It's my first official pick-up since taking the job, and I think it's a great way to start.''

Fox will unveil its entire fall slate at its annual ''upfront'' presentation to advertisers on Thursday in New York. We'll see then how much ''advertiser appeal'' Arrested actually has.
