OK, so I was thinking, what would make the loss of my fave players a little easier to take....well, for y'all who love top players, when they come into a close match (like Lindsay is against Venus) Bet all your Vcash on the person you dont wana win, then, if your fave wins you'll be happy and like....fuck this vcash shit, it was a load of bollocks.... but, if they lose, Vcash          The loss will be loads better coz you'll have made some money :D

:o :bolt: :D

:o  um...nope. I've thought about this before but then I see it this way - If I saw a fan of Venus betting against her, I would consider them a traitor and not a real fan. You can't soften the blow of a loss by betting against your fav, just doesn't feel right. That is how I feel about it anyway.

It's got nothing to do with being real fans or not, its just a method of making the potential loss less devastating. :p

i think that's bullshit. making money has nothing to do with being a real fan.

Just because you're a real fan doesn't mean you need to think your fave will win every match she plays. I don't think it makes you a traitor to bet or even predict against her - but in many cases it makes you deluded if you bet or predict for her.

After the initial sadness dissipates, you take refuge in the arms of your spouse and top it off with hot, vigorous lovemaking then sleep will take care of the rest. :couple:

I just get over it... I mean I want my fav to do well but ultimatly it doesnt effect my life in any way... I hope they (Venus) doesnt take the loss to heart goes out works on her game and tries again.

When your fave looses - just think of all the times they have won and the types of players they have beat. Every player is going to loose once in a while - that's just tennis!

In a grand slam there are 127 losers and only 1 winner - but as some philosopher said "Its the taking part and not the winning"!

If your favourite loses then shun the rest of the tournament.

If your favorite loses, just come in to WTAWorld and criticize her opponent and give no credit whatsoever to her opponent. :o

I think I jinx Serena when I bet vCash on her, (Jankovic, Venus, etc.) so I refuse to do it.

I make her losses better by finding an excuse, and fast. :)

remember that its not your life and you didn't lose the damn tennis match. move on and do things in your own life.

I get over a loss by my fave when I watch a match with them lifting up a Grand Slam trophy or one of two super tier 1 titles they won in a month. :)

Then I go do something constructive like have sex.

Anyway, I grab a handful of sweets for a quick sugar high, then sit and analyze way the loss occurred in the first place. But I'm rarely bothered by a loss. :wavey:

If my fav -plays well and loses i don't mind as much. Like last week when venus lost maria, that I could take, i hate it when she doesn't play well and only has herself to blame for the loss.
i usually look forward to the next match which is usually the very next week. slam losses are tougher to take.

I hated it when Kim gifted those 3 GS finals to Justine. I remember shouting at the TV screen each time: "Oi, yoo hoo, Kim, you're in a GS final, wake up!" but she couldn't hear me  Still, it makes me feel better that Kim was so generous to Justine, Kimmy's such an angel.

All the time Justine hasn't played last year, I watched her best moments on videos !!
& I avoid women's matches, i can't watch it when Justine & Kim aren't playing,
Last year i haven't watched any women's matches, i 've just focused on mens' matches (Marat & Juan)...
