Way to go, Rena. Nice scores...it's tough out there. Some have already been ousted, and some have had to play three sets. Stay focused all the way!!!!! :yeah:

Nice.....seems like she's playing pretty cleanly these days, yet the results ain't there....

Huh? She won the Australian; had to retire in a semi with injury; and then lost to Venus who played out of her mind. What results are you talking about? Chances are she would have won Dubai had she been healthy?

Keep going Serena...ONLY 1 ace though. Is the shoulder STILL a problem?

a predictable crushing win for serena here , she owns players like "randy".

For some unexplainable reason, I expected something more like 60-61. Maybe, Dally is better than I thought.

Nonetheless, Congrats Rena!
Good effort, Dally!

well in my opinion she did not play well at all in miami, she just guided the ball back most of the time, and would make an error when she would try to hit a hard shot for a winner.

thats besides the point though. You played great Serena, good luck in the next round :bounce:

Yay Rena. Dally isn't really much of a test for Serena though.

In their first meeting this year Serena won 63,60 so maybe Dally came in better prepared- same result, but she managed to win one more game...

That was my point, lindsayrocks.....her stats when you looked at them, were....most of the time more winners than errors, yet you still had the feeling that she wasn't playing well.....this seems like a more Serena-like match.....although the zing on the serve still isn't back it seems...ah well, she won. Nice job, babygirl!! :yeah:

Nice.....seems like she's playing pretty cleanly these days.Well, people make errors when they are pushed. And the more they are pushed, the more they make errors. I suppose if Rena were to play me, she would have a winners/UE ratio of ... Oops, I don't want to give it away; I want her to tremble before she meets me on the court.

That was also on rebound ace, and Dally's game is much better suited to green clay. I don't think that one game measures Dally's preparedness. Of course I'm angry that Dally lost...she's drawn Serena five times now in the past 2.5 years, all in the early rounds, so that sucks. It would seem that each week Dally is earning herself a 'new career-high' so that's definately good to see.
