Serena, always! It doesn't metter how she looks, I love her because off her game and her personality, not because off her looks.

Same goes for Venus and Ana Ivanovic.

Good question! I suspect a lot of people would have differtn favourites and certain players wouldn't be as popular as they are now. Not me though - Justine would still stay my fave.

If i could judge only the quality of play, my list would suffer only small changes.

Maybe if they all looked like Hantuchova :o No, it would still be boring eventually. The looks is important just as personality and game.

well I like sharapova's game playing and clijsters. Maybe wouldn't like Daniela so much but Federer would still be my favourite.

I might flip Dementieva (n.1) and Myskina (n.2). But I might not. Lena was such a breath of fresh air in 2000 & 2001.

I select my favourites according to their tennis-qualities rather than their superficial attractiveness, so I'd like to think that my eternal fanship would be exactly as it is with their looks being as they are:

1. Monica Seles
2. Maria Sharapova
3. Daniela Hantuchová
4. Jelena Dokic
5. Iva Majoli
6. Karina Habšudová
7. Iroda Tulyaganova
8. Vera Zvonareva

However, I must admit that my interest in Iroda began with her looks. If I hadn't absolutely fancied the pants off her, I wouldn't have gone to the trouble of specially ordering a video of her, and - since the BBC have never televised her - would never have got hooked on her exciting power, her searing two-handed backhand, her versatile all-court game and her marvellous athleticism. :o

If I chose players on looks rather than talent, I'd certainly be a fan of Tatiana Golovin and Gisela Dulko by now! :drool: My values being as they are, I'm looking for Golovin or Maria Kirilenko to impress me with some brilliant tennis when they come to England in June...

I'd be too confused to be able to watch the game. "Go Justine! Wait, is that Justine? Sorry. I mean Serena. Oh, it's not? Never mind then." My favourite would have to be someone with a scarily distinctive style like Conchita Martinez or one of those two-handed girls like Bartoli, just so that I'd remember which one to cheer without having to think too hard.

I don't think then Sharapova would be that popular :lol:
