Anyone seen it yet? While I liked the fact that it got straight to the point, I thought as a sequel it was so unnecesary. There was no point and there was nowhere to go with this sequel. Naomi Watts is great again but don't bother with this movie.

It wasn't scary at all...and I wanted it to be.

I like how they developed the story, that was cool. But kinda of confusing at the same time.

I say if you don't see it in the theater definitely rent it.

It wasn't better than the first one but not much worse too.I found it a bit expected and wasn't terrifying at all.But Naomi was perfect like always!! :worship:

I think maybe Samara's real mother (who commited suicide) was reincarnated as a deer  Would that explain the freaky woman who appeared in one of the deer's eyes? Also in Samara's house, in her basement, there was a collection of stags' antlers.

Anyway I found this film a disappointment. What made the Ring so scary in the first place was the whole idea behind the video tape and that didn't really feature in this film, except for the opening scene. I liked the final confrontation on the well though. Although it made me wonder why the hell didn't all the other victims before Naomi think of trying to seal the well so Samara couldn't escape, seemed fairly obvious :tape:

I would seriously recommend however seeing the original Ring but in the Japanese version. Now that version disturbed me, especially when I actually watched the "video of death" in the dvd extras section. Thankfully I survived :)

^ that makes sense about the deer V-MAC, i remember seeing all the antlers in the basement. i thought they could have done a better job with the computers making the deer look more realistic. they looked pretty crappy with todays standards. thats a nice picture of Venus by the way.

I seen the first one, it was okay. But after viewing the original Japanese version I was somewhat let down.Creepy kids in movies tend to annoy me. They’re like the silly annoying person with the dog. Watch most disasters movies, bet there’s somebody with a friggin dog in it.

First one: Thumbs up, really great, with good shocking effects
Second: Thumbs down, boring and unnecessary, the only scene that frightened me was the "deer scene" although it didn't fit...great pity cos the first one really rocked!
It reminds me more of a copy of Sixth Sense

Alex Zane liked it and thought it was a pretty good sequel compared to some others :) I'll probably rent it in the summer on a horror night.

I'm not your fucking mommy.

that alone made it worthwhile, that and the fact that i'm petrified of everything so me and my boy Alex were more then afraid hahahah
