Lol she has been playing; on the Challenger circuit. She still isn't doing that great, but is working very hard on her game and conditioning.

Are you sure you're talking about Monica Seles?I don't believe Monica said that. Can you tell me where that interview was? It sounds so unlike Monica, to insult someone gratuitiously. And it makes no sense. Plus she has not been "at" Bolliteri's camp since Carly was a toddler at least. She hits at Bradenton sometimes, but she hasn't stopped going there.

What are you guys talking about? Carly's actually a very good doubles player. She's won a WTA TOUR doubles titles for christs sake (last year in Quebec City w/Salerni). She also won a 75K doubles title w/Maureen Drake and won a 50K doubles title a couple weeks ago with Jenny Hopkins.

She's ranked #121 in doubles having only played eight tournaments. All she needs is a full schedule to be ranked at least in the top 50 with results like these. If she wins another match this week, she'll crack the top 100 in doubles.

I take that back actually. She gets 75 points for reaching a Tier I quarterfinal and 15 bonus points for the win. This result will actually put her inside the top 100, having only played nine tournaments mind you. A win over Navratilova/Molik and she'll be ranked 85.

Carly may actually have an odd decision to face for an 18 year old "phenom." With her singles ranking stuck in the 250-400 range for years and no good wins to speak of yet (ie top 100 wins,) she may have to consider bagging singles and focusing solely on doubles. It's pretty obvious where her success is going to lie. She hasn't had big wins in singles, while she's able to win titles in doubles at challenger level and even knock off top 20 doubles players...all while playing a limited schedule.
