That guy is a total Jon Wertheim wannabe. His comments about Kournikova especially shows how little he must follow tennis. Not only that, he is real ugly too. If they are going to get people to write about a sport, why don't they for once find someone who knows something about the sport? I have no clue where they find these idiots... my guess is that they look for drug addicts who will work for whatever money as long as they can afford a hit.

Bondy is known for his glib remarks. What he said about Kournikova, Venus Williams, and Capriati was totally out of line.

Couldn't agree with you more, apoet29

I just can't stand it when they make us real tennis fans have to put up with people like this who obviously haven't a clue what they are talking about.

I agree with you Vanity. Unfortunately, sports reporting has become a joke in the last twenty years, especially when that reporting covers women's athletics. Majority of sports reporters are men and as much as I hate to say this I think sexism plays a large role in their reporting of women's sports. That is why the achievements of female athletes are either disregarded or they are portrayed as sex objects. It's sad that a woman's achievements are often put down simply because of her sex.

apoet29, you are totally right about that. You'd think by 2002 they'd finally give the women their due. I mean, Anna dropped out of the top 50 because she wasn't playing for nearly 7 months of the year. I just don't think it's right for them to put her down like that since she wasn't able to compete in the first place. I guess we just have to take those guys with a grain of salt

Some of you children should grow up. I just don't get the crying over the truth thing...Cap did go from taking mug shots to an awesome drop shot...Ana is tits and Ass plus a forehand.

The truth will make you free!

There is no need for insults here. Vanity and I are not children; we are women. As such, we are as much entitled to our opinion as you are yours. Honestly, your remarks are both insulting and sexist.

A poet...I've no idea of your sex, so to state that you are behaving childishly cannot possibly be sexist...there are male children u know.

If you find my belief that to argue with the truth is childish to be insulting, then just inhale and remember...it's just my opinion

LOL!! You're right. Unfortunately, as a woman, we tend to take everything to heart. I'm sorry for taking it so personally. Have a good New Year!
