Apr 4th, 2005, 12:44 AM
I hope Hingis comes back!

Apr 4th, 2005, 01:04 AM
chanda will get back if she comes back.

with myriam it really depends on her injury. if she can overcome it and get fit she is capable of rising back to the upper levels.

hingis if she comes back

Apr 4th, 2005, 01:06 AM
I want Chanda, Martina and Anna to come back! :)

Shonami Slam

iroda, clarisa and chanda CAN.
i hope lina and daja as well.
i'm talking top50, not just back to the top100.

Apr 4th, 2005, 01:34 AM
*crosses fingers* Jelena Dokic!

Apr 4th, 2005, 01:38 AM

Apr 4th, 2005, 03:41 AM

No Name Face
Apr 4th, 2005, 03:42 AM
CHANDA :worship:

Apr 4th, 2005, 04:42 AM
The only one of those players I can really see that happening for is Dokic. Rubin is the best tennis player of that bunch, but she can't come close to staying on court for a full year.

Apr 4th, 2005, 05:02 AM
Clarisa Fernandez is a very talented player, with lot of strenghts, she is working hard for a comeback with no money at all, I guess she will be in the top 50 for the end of the season.

Go Clarisa!!!:wavey:

Apr 4th, 2005, 05:02 AM
I hope Dokic.

Apr 4th, 2005, 05:20 AM
Chanda for sure. Chanda's been injured before, and when she's come out of injury she's come out firing, as for Dokic - she's had about 2 years to regroup but nothing has happened.

Neither of them are getting anywhere, unfortunately.

Apr 4th, 2005, 05:33 AM
I wish I could vote for more than 1...

I voted for Jelena.

Apr 4th, 2005, 05:37 AM
the only 'top' players were dokic, hingis and rubin, kournikova to a degree (top 10 in singles and a great doubles player). they all have or had talent. i dubt hingis will return to tennis let alone the top and kounrikova doesnt look like she will return anytime soon (if ever). dokic i would love to see back up there, it would make things even more interesting than they are now. tulyaganova has a great game but has injury problems so for me its hard to see her ever really fullfilling her potnetial and matching it with the top players day in day out. bedanova i dont think she quite has the talent to be a top player (in the sense of a top 10er now even top 15ers are great players). stevenson will never be consistent enough plus doesnt move well enough for todays game. fernandez, krasnoroutskaya andcasanova have talent but have all had injury or illness troubles so we shall see with them (they havent yet been top players so it will be interesting to see what they end up achieving).

I think Stevenson is a very good player. I like her spunk! ;)

Apr 4th, 2005, 06:06 AM
I hope Martina :)

Apr 8th, 2005, 02:54 AM
Nice to have just saved Iroda from being the only player on this poll with no votes! :o

I hope both she and Jelena Dokic will come back as top players. They're both so talented, and their Linz 2001 semi-final promised a great rivalry for women's tennis in the coming years. It would also be nice to see Lina Krasnoroutskaya make it big.

when was stevenson ever a top player?

Apr 8th, 2005, 04:19 AM
Clarisa Fernandez is a very talented player, with lot of strenghts, she is working hard for a comeback with no money at all, I guess she will be in the top 50 for the end of the season.

Go Clarisa!!!:wavey:

Yea, I think of this group, we will see Clarisa come to form first. After all, she started tennis so late, so I expect her to be around a while. Iroda seems to re-injure herself all the time.

Apr 8th, 2005, 05:29 AM
LinaK :help:

i'm waiting for you !

Apr 8th, 2005, 05:30 AM

Apr 8th, 2005, 05:39 AM
MISS CLARISA FERNANDEZ:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Apr 8th, 2005, 05:40 AM
None. If Capriati had been listed then there would've been a good choice.

Apr 8th, 2005, 05:52 AM
the girl who started this poll has six journeywomen players in there, 7 if you include kornakova.

Apr 8th, 2005, 06:34 AM
I hope Hingis tries to come back. She seems like she wants to.

Apr 8th, 2005, 06:55 AM
Alexandra stevenson :tape:

Apr 8th, 2005, 07:03 AM
I don't know why so many people are picking Dokic. If you don't have any weapons on WTA tour then there is no way you're getting into the top 10. Dokic had nice groundstrokes but she never had a dominating game. Her serve was aiight at best. She usually never came on the court with a gameplan. When she did have gameplans they usually failed.

Rubin always has a gameplan when she plays. Now she might get away from that gameplan sometimes and she has mental lapses but her game is made to be a top 20 player. She has a weapon in her forehand and her volleys are good sometimes.

Apr 8th, 2005, 07:39 AM
i agree about chanda wannabe but i think you could that in her prime dokic groundies were a lot more than nice. she basically smacked the shit out of everything - it worked will she had her game working for that period where she top 5 - but then she finally lost the mental fortitude that had been so strong for so long but continued trying to smack the ball and basically handed matches away with errors. her short lived come back in zurich was evidence of how effective her game can still be.

all i now is that i have seen plenty of matches were dokic dominated with her groundies. she's just too one dimensional though.

Apr 8th, 2005, 07:41 AM
Lina K

Apr 8th, 2005, 07:42 AM
Tulyaganova definately & B Schwartz

Apr 8th, 2005, 07:52 AM
Since Monica wasn't on the list and most of the players listed weren't really "top tier" players I voted for Chanda. :D

Apr 8th, 2005, 08:01 AM
Hopefully Iroda ... what is Horseteeth Hingis doing in here? Don't you guys read any news - SHE ISN'T COMING BACK!!!

Apr 8th, 2005, 08:08 AM
none, i don' t think they can come back !!!
I hoped a long time for dokic's top return, But now i know she won’t never return in the top !!

Apr 8th, 2005, 10:40 AM
Probably none of them to be honest the talent out there already is soo high not to mention all the good youngsters and juniors coming up it will extremely tough.

But top 20 is realisitic goal there are players in the top 20 now who I would say Dokic, Chanda, and Iroda are better than, and once you get top 20 who knows but it will be hard.

Apr 8th, 2005, 11:09 AM
im still hopefull dokic can get her shit together with her family, coach and injuries get her confidence back and get back at least to top 20 or so and then build from there!

Apr 8th, 2005, 12:24 PM
Jelena, please come back!

I know, I say this in every thread that mentions her, just love that girl!

Apr 8th, 2005, 12:30 PM
I hope its either Tulyaganova; Bedanova, Fernandez or Krasnoroutskaya. Another one who isn't on the list I hope is Aniko Kapros

Apr 8th, 2005, 12:45 PM
Jenny Cap

Apr 8th, 2005, 12:49 PM
Daja & Clarisa

Hopefully all.

iced gem
Apr 8th, 2005, 12:57 PM
Well I hope Lina K can return....How has her ranking plummeted so much? Was it a serious injury?

Hopefully Iroda ... what is Horseteeth Hingis doing in here? Don't you guys read any news - SHE ISN'T COMING BACK!!!

Horseteeth ?

Apr 8th, 2005, 03:59 PM
Jelena Dokic ---> proven talent; comeback still possible, but shows no signs of sorting out her game
Chanda Rubin ---> too close to retirement age
Iroda Tulyaganova ---> too big an injury problem to be great again - tragically
Daja Bedanova ---> comeback possible, she is young and could get it together
Alexandra Stevenson ---> one-hit wonder, who even really cares if the bitch comes back?
Clarisa Fernández ---> one-hit wonder, only competitive at challenger level
Myriam Casanova ---> very talented and still young - Top 20 definitely possible if health problems are conquered
Lina Krasnoroutskaya ---> too many injuries & illnesses, will not return to Top 50 (sadly)
Anna Kournikova ---> hasn't played for years, forget it
Martina Hingis ---> retired and moved on from tennis

Apr 8th, 2005, 04:37 PM
Where is Seles???????

Apr 8th, 2005, 05:23 PM
I hope Lina

Apr 8th, 2005, 06:15 PM
i relly don't see any of them returning to good results

Apr 8th, 2005, 07:24 PM
Def all of these plus as Spikey Adainm said Barbara Schwartz
but it will be hard for all of them.

I dont think Bedanova will reach the top 50 again same for Fernandez and Tulyaganova

Rubin, Dokic and Krasnoroutskaya can def crack the top 20 again

Hingis and Kournikova will never compete again Im pretty sure

Hard to say about Casanova and Stevenson

Apr 8th, 2005, 08:04 PM
I think Krasnoroutskaya can. But I hope Dokic will.

Apr 8th, 2005, 08:12 PM
Hope it's Chanda!!!

Apr 8th, 2005, 08:15 PM
I hope Krasnoroutskaya, Dokic, Hingis, Bedanova, and Tulyaganova. I think none.

Apr 8th, 2005, 08:15 PM
from those Chanda is the one that has the best chances to get i would vote for Dokic but she seams a bit "away" from it

Apr 9th, 2005, 05:44 PM
Neither of them are getting anywhere, unfortunately.

Well Chanda has an excuse to not get anywhere. She's been injured for almost two years, and has barely been able to play matches. As for Dokic she's had two years of tournaments consistently losing 1R and getting her 1 good tournament in where she reaches the SF.

Tati & Dani
Apr 10th, 2005, 12:23 AM
i think Casanova, but i hope Dokic

Apr 10th, 2005, 12:26 AM
I hope Anastasia :tape:

Apr 10th, 2005, 12:48 AM
None, Sorry.

Apr 10th, 2005, 01:16 AM
Chanda, come back please!!!!!!!!!!!

Apr 10th, 2005, 01:18 AM
There should be a "none of the above." Of these, I'd say Fernandez.
