This happened to be one of those rare instances where I was pulling for Christine. I can't ever recall rooting for her two matches in a row, but since she won today, that's exactly what will be happening. This sets up a QF that has the makings for a really good match. Although Justine plays down being confident and says she’s just happy to be back you better believe she’s playing to win. She’s a champion and she’s a confident one, so she’s going to come out swingin’ and for one more day I’ll be cheering her on.
Congrats to Juju and all her fans. She played a tough opponent and raised her game when needed and fought hard for her win. It looks like the rust is already off. Now that she’s beaten a quality opponent, there’s no more pressure on her- this tournament has to be viewed as a success for Justine and her camp. This means that all the pressure will be on Maria since she will be the overwhelming favorite.

It looks like the belgians are back at least prematurely, well Clijsters sure is back to top 8 form at least. Henin might not be ready yet for Sharapova, that will be a measuring stick for how far her game has slipped since her illness, given that Sharapova brings her A game which I believe she will after seeing Henin beating a top ten player. Should these two keep their form and improve, by the clay court seasons end a couple of Russians will no longer be top ten, or there might just not be room enough for the top 4 plus the next two best russians. The top 5 is sure to look different by the end of the clay court season. Looking forward to how all this will settle in a couple of months.:) :)
