Well, I think Mr. Lucic and Mr. Sprem are better parents

I wouldn't say Sprem is wasted quit yet.

Though it wouldn't surprise me. :o

Mr. Lucic was a terrible parent. Similar to Damir Dokic and Jim Pierce. :(

Lucic fled her father as well, and at a much younger age than Dokic.

 No idea. Let's pray for Karolina to keep a Dad, not a monster :tears:

I like brainless bashers who hit the ball really hard, all the time. That's just the type of play I love to watch, unfortunately. :p

Anna wasn't a brainless basher and neither was Monica so you are ok

Well, Monica was a basher for sure, but she was so good at it (the best :hearts: ) that it's tough to call her brainless. :p

Anna always used to go for incredibly difficult shots even when she was playing her best, and she would be htting the ball hard and flat most of the time. Was beautiful to watch when she was in form.

I miss everyone now.

Saying Sprem is a wasted is harsh and way too premature. She's still really young, she could be at the top of the game in ten years time still!!! She's had an indifferent time, especially since Wimbledon, but just give her a chance, hopefully the clay season will give her some confidence back!! :D

this younger generation might be called "a waste of sprem" ;)

Dokic was #4 in the world only behind Capriati and the Williams sisters in 2002, she may not have ever won a slam and may have gone off track, but I wouldn't say she is a complete0 waste of talent. She's won a few tier 1's and beaten some big time players.

Exactly. She's also a Slam semi-finalist, right? Dokic is still young enough that I think she can get her act together and get back into the top 10.

Come on, you can't say Sprem is wasted.

She's still young, and just because she's slumping a bit doesn't mean she's wasted.

It often happens that after a break out year newbies have a hard time in their 2nd season, but I hope Karolina can re-emerge

She also destroyed the number one player in the world at the tours most prestigious tournament.

Jelena and Karolina are completely dissimilar to Mirjana Lucic.

I think its too early to count out Dokic, its WAY too early to count Sprem out...and as for Lucic *SIGH!*

i think that's EXACTLY what he meant.
sprem is abit early - but dokic had more talent than dropping out of the top200
of course she can still regroup and get to the top10
but the basic talent is wasted on nonsece.
i don't know lucic well enough - but she could have achuieved more.
spream is way way worse than last year - he's showing a pattern here.

It's hard to look at the wta tour so healthy now, with so many exciting players battling the established top players, without feeling an emptiness being a Dokic fan. Things looked like they were getting better and better in august 2002, a career high number 4, 18 semifinals or better in her points bank, including 10 finals. It's almost unthinkable these days, ,seeing a player play as much and at the same time, as well as Jelena did from the fall of 2001 to the summer of 2002. I miss her honest answers in interviews, her crazy matches and her sweet nature
