The news on her has been so quiet lately that I'm convinced that she's just silently retired and decided to end her tennis career!

Jennifer will be back - well I certainly hope so! Tennis needs personalities like her and Myskina.

If you people would be paying attention Jennifer had shoulder surgery in January. Now, you know the news, when would you like Jennifer to comeback? Tomorrow?

Give her a break folks, shoulder surgery is nothing to sneeze at. She will be back when it's healed and she is ready.

Jen will be back, she is a fighter. Isn't she supposed to be back by the clay court season?

Jennifer will not retire yet, she simply loves the game too much. She is also desperate to win the US open before she retires, i think she'll realistically have 2 more years on the tour, but who knows, she says she likes to prove people wrong and if everyone writes her off she will just come back and prove the haters wrong :D

I see the vultures have decided to abandon Monica for a fresher prey.

It's not going to be so easy for Jennifer to retire. She learned to play in the womb after all. I would guess the reason we haven't heard much is that Jen is a very private person and probably isn't talking to anybody. And the reason they don't have any info is that Jen has a new secret training base. A source told me Jen's training in Daghobah with her new coach, Mr. Yoda.

She is a fighter and I hope she comes back. Her rivalry with Serena had some of the most compelling and interesting drama...lol.

During her time rehabilitating, I hope she hasn't let her fitness go to pot.

Of course there hasn't been a lot of news about her, she just had shoulder SURGERY! It's not like she'll be back playing right away!

Other players with shoulder injuries have been out for a year or even more.... Don't force her to play too early, it is safer this way. I think she will return in the grass-court season.

Nothing's official ... she's still covering from her shoulder surgery ... give her some time to make up her mind

She'll be back - when she recovers from her shoulder injury. She is a fighter and still has about three-four good years of Top10 tennis in her I think.

Dont see Capriati ever getting back in contention for the majors again. See missed the boat the last couple of years. Now when see gets back you've got the belgian sisters back to full fitness, the Williams sisters, Davenport, Sharapova, and even Mauresmo and Kuznetsova

What the hell you talking about? Jennifer was a big contender in her last three slams.

With the life and career that Jen has had, I never thought people would ever think she'd just go away 'silently'. I mean, it's Capriati. She'll never go out without a bang (even if the bang is from Dale DeBone  ).

I hope she comes back soon!

She's planning for her 2nd coming. We all know what happened the first time she came back. ;)

I have no doubt she'll be back on the courts. I just hope she doesn't come back too early and reinjure her shoulder because that can happen. I hope she trains and heals properly so that she can come back solid and continue to bring more drama to the game. With most/all of the top players healthy, it's making it REALLY interesting!!!

Jennifer will most certainly be back when she recovers from surgery..

I'm just sad her comeback won't be in Charleston.

So Serena is Lord Vader , and Richard Williams the evil emperor :tape:
