I know she did well in Australia last year, but she hasn't done much in singles in about 3 years. She's getting crushed by Dechy right now (5-0), and it's on the back of similar beatings on the singles court.
because she's still good at doubles, don't you think it's time that Lisa stepped away from the singles court to preserve her reputation?

Please change this to "Should Martina Navratilova stick to Doubles...or just retire?"...all in good fun, folks.

NO. She just got back from tearing her abs. Maybe you could give her a break. She hasn't mentioned anything about retirement. She's a good player and if she's healthy for a whole year she could find herself sneaking into the top 20. She gives some of the Russians and new players fits. She took Petrova to three sets last week. Dechy has been playing amazing for her since the end of last year. Playing FED CUP and in the exhibitions where she beat the top players really boosted her confidence for this year.

No way! To be honest the money's in the singles and whilst she is never going to win slams she can contest lower tier tournements and is still getting wins over players like Dementieva and Venus. The game needs all the serve and volleyers they can get.

Anyone who can ebat Venus is doing something right. :wavey:

It's on serve in the second, she may not win but she's certainly worthy of her ranking and her singles play is good.

I think that while she is still ranked high enough and is playing well and still winning some matches then I don't see no reason why not.

Second option. I respect Lisa
