I'm surprised no one has mentioned it yet. But if Serena wins her 4r match, she'll be at 300 career wins. That's HUGE. And what awesome 300 wins those have been. :bounce: :bounce: :lick:

Wasn't it Conchita Martinez who won her 300th match about month ago? Am I wrong?

I mean she is only 23. She'll be 24 in 5 months but I kinda expected more wins from her. Her winning percentage of .839 is good. The way she plays though she'll probably retire before she gets to 700 wins.

Umm Conchita played her 1000th match about a month ago. She's won 723 matches in her career. She could though lose her 300th match sometime this year. I'm not sure that is something she should be proud of though.

I'm gonna say yes. Steffi Graf had 296 wins and 6 majors after the 1989 AO.

296 with 6, 300 with 7....doesn't that make Serena's ratio better?

Being constantly surprised by by Serena's continuous record-breaking run is honestly getting tired. I wish she would FREAKING STOP....

I am gonna say no Monica Seles early 1993 had a record of 253-30 and 8 slams.

After all of Serena's record-breaking run, that is one of Monica's she can't take away!

Good Luck Serena on your 301'st match, hope it is a good news!!!!

It really shows how little Serena plays. You'd think with her ability she might've reached this a while ago. Well, good on her

I think Elena won her 300th in IW last week.

It will be sad if she loses tomorrow to Peer... but it will be for the history if she beats her.. :)

Justine and Kim have more than 300 wins since last year, and they are one year and 2 year younger than Serena, so it's not like it's an impossible achievement...

But congrats nonetheless! :)

According to WTAtour.com:

Justine has a 320-86 singles win-loss ratio
Kim has a 312-80 singles win-loss ratio

coz WTAtour includes ITFs and qualies results and I believe tenniscorner doesn't

But congrats nonetheless! :)I don't think age has as much to do with it as the win/loss senario. If SJW's statement is correct, Serena is 300 wins against 50 lost. Plus, the majority of Serena's wins were when the majority of the top players were healthy. That being said, congratulations to Kim and Justine.

Steffi Graf had 300 wins with 19 years already.
Serena is 23 and well into the second half of her career.
She is not even in the same league as the greatest-ever.

Not by a long shot if we're talking match wins...but 7 majors and 300 wins, not bad...
