Well done Nuria,
Zvonareva is so inconsistent :( I think her confidence went down at the YEC when she had to learn that she had no chance against the top ten.

Vera you are full of S*&t. She hasn't played since Memphis. Has plenty of time to work on her game, and just gives the match away in the 3rd set. Ugggggghhhhhh

I've said that Vera's draw is awful.
This should get her attention.
Maybe she'll pull it together on clay.

Hooollllyyyyy shit....I wasn't expecting her to get more than four games...that is a BAD loss for Vera.

What's up with the no-name clay court specialists doing well though...first Castano, now Vives.

Vera - what happened? This should have been your match to win! I don't know what has happened here - but credit where credit is due, well done to Nuria - a good win and probably one of her best in her career.

I'm surprised at this result. Normally I'd want Nuria to win but this time I was hoping Zvonareva would come through to set up a 3rd round tie with Justine which would have been interesting.

I'm so glad Nuria's finally reaching some of her potential and getting into better quality draws from now on. It's gonna be odd (but great) seeing her in the top 60 (she's almost there!)

What is going on with Vera?

I guess Vera will be getting a new coach again.

Vera is a excellent tennis player when she wants to be.

I see two reasons for Bepa's defeat:
* She pulled out of Indian Wells with strep throat;
* She tends to struggle in hot climates.

In her previous tournament, Bepa won the Memphis title. She's about to reenter the top ten, and the claycourt-season is the ideal time to prove she belongs there. A dark horse for the French Open title! :)

But she needs to dump that Lex guy.. He is ruining her career..Why is that?

These were her results from when he took over until the end of the year:
QF of LA - lost in the 3rd to Serena in a match that could have gone either way
SF of San Diego - held match points aginst Nastya
SF of Montreal - lost to Amelie
F of Cincinnati - lost to Lindsay
4th round of US Open - he can't be blamed for that meltdown against Dementieva
SF Beijing - ran into Serena again
1st round of Filderstadt - upset by Elena L
QF Moscow - Myskina won 7-5 in the 3rd, when Bepa received a horrible call at *5-6 30-30
2nd round Zurich - ran into Molik, who then won the tournament
QF Linz - defeated by Jankovic. At this point in the year, was very tired
F of Philadelphia - summoned strength from somewhere to surprise both coach and agent by changing her ticket from destination Moscow to destination Philadelphia in an attempt to qualify for the YEC. Lost in 3 to Amelie in the final
YEC - was worn into the ground by a her intense schedule, and couldn't perform anywhere near her best
Fed Cup - won the deciding doubles match

Yes, she has struggled this year, but I think that's a result of what she chose to do at the end of last year. If she went against the advice of her coach, and as a consequence became exhausted, I don't think he can be blamed for this rough period that she is having.
