According to Wimbledon website, YJ must be the smallest player on tour :

http://www.wimbledon.org/en_GB/bios/profile/ws/wtac419.html

Height :1.42 metres (4 ft. 8 in.)

Obviously they don't check the data they input

Haha that's funny, I believe she's about 5'5 or 5'6...anyways, I saw her match on Star Sports and she was great! Completetly outclassed Parra-Santonja and YJ's forehand is sweeeeeet! she could hit the lines for winners all day with that shot, not to mention she's consisten of both sides and moves extremely well....she has a great shot if she plays like this against Srebotnik! GO YJ!

Good win for Yoon-Jeong.

Every brags about how much better Mi-Ra is in regards to talent.... and how Yoon-Jeong only is more gritty - but this is bullsh*t.
Yoon-Jeong has consistently outperformed Mi-Ra in EVERY regard of the game. She is mentally stronger and physically not as weak as Mi-Ra. Clearly a better player.

Hope she beats Srebotnik so i can see her against Sharapova! :)

Cho is playing Memphis this week. Here is her part of the draw.

(7)Amy Frazier v. Meilen Tu
Jamea Jackson v. Q
Ekaterina Bychkova v. Shenay Perry
(2)Anna-Lena Groenefeld v. Yoon Jeong Cho

Not too bad. Gronefeld has not been playing very good lately so Cho should be able to beat her. Good luck YJ!

She played doubles at a $25K in Japan last month, but retired in the 1R...

I really hope that her injury woes are over.

Yoon Jeong totally retired from the tour..
She had a ceremony of retirement last week after Samsung Men's challenger's final.

A month ago, she participated national games as a team member. She defeated So Jung Kim. It became her last game.
Her reason for retirement is you know, back injury.. She said that she always had problems with her back even playing doubles.

After the retirement, she will be a coach for Korean juniors, Su-Jeong Jang and So-Ra Lee. Su-Jeong is just 13 and very talented player.
Anyway it's so so so sad that we cannot see her anymore on the court.
