...tomorrow :p

but i'll tell you four things :D
1) I watched 11 hours of tennis
2) Operation: Players' Lounge was SUCCESSFUL :woohoo::banana:
3) I have VIP for the rest of the tournament (which means I'm special :p ) as a result of Operation Players' Lounge.
4) Free tickets (for the wrong session) + blind ticket checkers = happy Croat

but bad news:
K-lina will probably play on Saturday and Sunday so I won't get to see her unless she makes the 4rth round (please K-lina!!!!!!):sad::sad: (same goes for Mario  )

OK, i guess chronological order works best. Be warned, this is gonna by a LONG, LONG report :D

So, me and my friend got there at 12. Parking sucks, it was $10 today (it was 5 for qualies) and it was so far away from cranden park that we had to take a shuttle over there. Oh well, never gonna have to deal with that again cause I have VIP access now (I'm probably going to repeat that like 20 times :p ).

Martin vs. Calleri: really great match, lots of winners from both and long points. Calleri got hooked on some calls late in the third, but he really should have closed it out after he got up a break. Martin played some great defense. Calleri's downfall was the fact that he wasn't getting enough first serves in (he was in control of every point when he got it in). A double fault in the tiebreak ended up costing him the match.

Took a quick peek at the second set of Chladkova vs. Benesova. The match looked pretty sloppy so we moved on to the practice courts.

Saw Dally Randrianteffy first with a hitting partner and then with Asagoe. Also saw Gilles Muller.

Schuettler vs. Starace: An OK match. I felt like too many of the amazing points ended up being lost on unforced errors. Schuettler made some great gets though and hit some amazing passing shots. Lots of nice points with Starace attacking and Rainer getting everything back. Left half-way through the second.

Saw the last 5 minutes of Kim vs. Horna. Terrible, terrible play from Luis. He hit two double faults and missed three easy forehands that should have been winners in the tiebreak. He broke his racquet as well and i got a picture of it right on impact (really cool picture, i'll post it when i get it developed).

Stayed on the Grandstand to see Stosur vs. Spears. Really just wanted to see Stosur's amazing serve...didn't happen. Only saw the first game and a half. Sam missed most of her first serves and Abigail was really solid off the ground, really surprised me. Wasn't surprised to find out that Abigail won the match later. Rain started pouring at 1-0 and duece, signifying the start of OPERATION PLAYERS' LOUNGE.

Me and my friend both had tennis outfits on and we saw all of the players and coaches just running into the players' lounge. The guards seriously weren't even checking credentials...so we just ran in behind Peer and her coach :woohoo::banana:

So we get in and it's packed. The lounge itself is pretty nice. They have an airconditioned cafeteria-type area and an outdoor patio. Saw Amelie Mauresmo, looks like she had just come back from practice. She was really, really nice :hearts: . I wished her a lot of luck in the tournament. Also saw Schiavone, Garbin, and the Serra Zannetti sisters (?). My friend knew Cyril Saulnier and introduced me to him when we saw him. Ended up sitting outside on the patio with him and his coach and family. Really cool guy, laid-back. I was really sad when he lost later that day on stadium court. Ended up getting to talk to Bjorkman. He was really nice too. Wished him a happy birthday (cause I heard someone else say that to him). Got a picture with him and wished him luck (although I was gonna have to cheer for Max). He said that he really hates having to play him doubles parnter in the first round. Also got a picture with Montfils. Was about to leave when a guy from UM's tennis team who I know came up to me and my friend. Turns out, he can get us VIP access!! Which means we get in free, get free food, and get to park for free right across the street from the stadium :woohoo: . I can't wait for Friday!!

Went to see the last few games of Peer vs. Domachowska. Peer's serve was off, but the rest of her game was on fire. Some close rallies, but Peer always seemed to be in control.

Rest to follow after my English class (the main reason I'm not watching tennis right now)

yeah, i thought it was amazing before the match, but, when i got there it looked pretty average

anyways, i'm happy i didn't go today cause karlovic just pissed me off big time

Now for the rest of the report:

Second set of Jidkova vs. Bondarenko: :help: Alina played well, but nothing spectacular. Bondarenko just hit tons of errors. It seemed that the player who took the initiative always lost the point.

Walked around the practice courts. Saw Golovin hitting with Safina. Talked to Dinara's coach. Both players are 100% healthy. Tatiana doesn't have a coach right now. Dinara's backhand was off and Tatiana's serve wasn't doing well either. Dinara got really pissed at herself and started throwing her racquet. After practice they were able to laugh it off though :)

Watched most of Pratt vs. Tanasugarn. Nicole hit some great crosscourt forehand winners and her backhand slice gave Tamarine a lot of problems. Tanasugarn missed a lot of easy backhands down the line. Pretty sloppy play from her.

Saw the end of Seppi vs. Rusedski. Really great match. Seppi hit some great defensive lobs, but Greg's power was just too much in the end - he had Seppi on the run the whole time.

Last match of the day: Bjorkman vs. Mirnyi. Cheered for Mirnyi although I like Jonas a lot too (especially after he was so nice in the player's lounge). Mirnyi started off the match firing winners from everywhere. He was just too good for the first set. Jonas broke Max at 5-4 in the second set with a great forehand pass cross court. Jonas dominated the third set and Max made some bad errors. Overall, a very entertaining match with a lot of points ending with both players at the net.

Anyways, I think I'm going tonight (even tough I don't have anyone to cheer for :( ). I can't wait for tomorrow!!
