There are three points of Maria's Doha final in this week's Trans World Sport:

* Molik serving at 6-4 0-5: Molik hits a backhand down the line that stretches Maria, setting up a short-angled off-forehand winner for Molik. The grunting was very loud, and not just from Maria! :)

* Molik serving at 6-4 1-6 2-2: Maria hits a pinpoint forehand winner down the line.

* Maria serving at 4-6 6-1 5-4: Maria hits an ace down the middle to seal the title.

They made the point that Maria was the first player to win two WTA singles titles in 2005! :D

Of course that record was quickly equalled by Flavia Pennetta, who won Bogotá and Acapulco back-to-back. In recognition of the latter, Trans World Sport show an animated picture of Flavia looking incredibly cute as she bounces a ball before serving.

For those in the UK, Trans World Sport is repeated, with sign-language, at 04:00 on Wednesday night/Thursday morning, on Channel 4. The tennis is 42 minutes in with Saturday adverts, so I would recommend 4:35 as a safe start-time for the repeat (which is five minutes shorter).

Trans World Sport may also be televised in other countries.
