People are whispering that Sveta is gay for quite a while now. I heard lately that she had an affair with Arantxa Sanchez. What do you guys think about this?

I've never seen Svetlana with a girl, except Martina Navratilova. But I think that that's strictly platonic.

I don't think that she does have a girlfriend/boyfriend because she seems really dedicated to tennis and wouldn't really have time for that.

dont get me wrong i agree with you, none of my business and ive said that if not in this thread but other threads on different occassions, but since there is a thread from a media standpoint i found this interesting considering mauresmo's sexuality and the 'rumours' on sveta's and then playing together.

Well according to all sources Mauresmo, she is still 'avec Geraldine' as they say in France.

Sorry folks, but Sveta had a crush on Marat Safin, so she doesn't like clam chowder, for some silly reason. Personally I think lesbians kick ass. Some of my best pals are lesbians. They are cool. Sides, lesbians are interesting to most people due to the fact 1 out of every 40 people (5% of women) are lesbian/bisexual preferring women. So its the rarity of it, like when Barack Obama got elected. After all why would the election of a male Harvard graduate to the Presidency be weird? Heck even the other thing he is known for lawyer aged under 50 you can name 2 others in the last 50 years (J.F.K (1960) and Clinton (1992)). So for all the Svetlana is a lesbian, sorry folks but Svetlana herself says nope. (Unless she is in denial)

I had pictures of male tennis players on my wall when I was a young teenager, I swapped them for pics of Steffi Graf etc when I came to terms with my sexuality. For what it's worth I think Svet is gay, but at the end of the day who cares, she has a brilliant personality and is fantastic to watch. I hope she wins many tournaments in 2009.:worship:

I think we should respect the private lives of all the players.
