I know not everybody plays tennis on WTAWorld, but, for the people who do, I was wondering what your greatest personal tennis matches have been like. Provide lots of detail for us to imagine!!

Even though i did lose, i played a match that was 6-7(7-9) 7-6(8-6) 6-7(9-7). It was 3 and a half hours long! At 6-5 in the third i was returning and up 15-30, I had an easy overhead and then missed it! :fiery: I was pretty mad! But, still even though i did lose, it was my best match. :)

Hey fellow Canadian!! :) Great story!!

Let me tell you about one of my most memorable matches of all-time!...

...

Well, my brother and I were playing a Junior Doubles Tournament at our local club. We were more or less the favourites to win the tournament because we have proven ourselves in doubles before and because we have great and enthousiastic chemistry.

Anyways, we were battling another pair of siblings. Two boys, one 17/18 years old and one 13 years old. We had a perfect record against them in Exhibition matches prior to this match. To make a long story short, they played a very difficult strategy against us. All the did throughout the whole match was moonball. At that time, we played on a blistering hot day with a ton of sun and we didn't master the overhead smash yet.

We went down 4-1 and won the next 5 games to win the opener. In the second set, my brother and I struggled and lost. Anyways, we blew a couple of leads throughout the third set and we found ourselves in a third-set tiebreaker. We went up 6-1 and lost another two points. We were incredible nervous. Anyways, my brother hit a deep crosscourt shot on the duece side, while I was at the net. The ball bounced close to my feet so I flicked a dropshot and we were the Champions!

We got two beautiful red trophies and it was our first title in doubles. By the way, the match was the longest I had ever played. It was a total of 2 hours and 45 minutes! Talk about a marathon!

To this day, it is mine and my brother's best achievement in the game, even though we played against a team we should have beaten easily.

I lost a very close match last year in the spring. I lost the first 6-2, and won the second in a tense tiebreaker. I lead 3-0 in the third and got exhausted, and lost 6 straight games. :(

The match where I played the best was in the R16 of Region Tournaments my 8th grade year. I was playing on the center court of the tennis complex. (It is a pretty big court surrounded on all sides by stone bleachers & it is kind of on a lower level, so ppl can view from above) I was so nervous b/c it was my 1st tournament match. I demolished some boy 6/0 6/0. My winners to UE ratio was great. Even though it wasn't a great opponent, I played great.

My best match against a really good player was a 6/4 5/7 7/5 loss to a much higher ranked player. He was a great server & returner so I pulled out the serve & volley for the 1st time in a match & it worked great. I felt like Tim Henman out there!!! I was only a few points from winning that match & my opponent was one of the best i've faced.

6-0 6-0 against some guy at my tennis club. He wasn't that good of a player, but I didn't make 1 unforced error!
