I know she has the stamina and all, but it's very demanding to play singles and doubles all the time... and it's worse for her since she doesn't exit early for both events...

I hope she knows when to rest and concentrate more on her singles since she's doing very well in that department...It'll be a shame if the doubles affect her singles result due to fatigue...

I am sure she knows what her limits are, and she will have another good week in Dubai!

Alicia is going to hit a wall, she's not used to playing so deep into the singles draws every week. I agree, she'll need to cut back her doubles at some point.

Yeah... she's used to playing a lot of doulbes and losing early in singles. She should cut back a bit on the doubles as she'll be playing quite a few more singles matches this year.

She has a nice 2 week break after this week, so she can rest up and be ready to attack Miami :D

She's not playing Indian Wells?? Pity.. she would have gotten quite a number of points for moving deep into the tournment since it is a weaker Tier 1 event compared to Miami.. But then again, it is tough playing for 4 weeks in a row...

Molik knows what she's doing. She's a very streaky player. If she wins in doubles she goes on streaks in singles and vice versa. She knows her limits and playing three weeks in a row for Molik is not that much. She's not the best mover in the top 10 anyway...lol. Now 4 weeks for her might be a little insane.

Rather than cut back on doubles how about simply cutting back total events played to a reasonable 16 or 17?

Doubles, if played properly, can sharpen an attackers volleying game.
And good as Molik has become, to win a slam she's going to have to take some chances and volley.

It's strange, I've always had in my head Molik was a serve-vollyer so it was a bit of a shock watching the Aus Open. My memory's just terrible. Or stuck.

Hey, if she's fit go for it. She'd be careful with her body with the injuries she's had.

sounds like Kim all over again. When she made her schedule last year, alicia probably didn't realise who well she was gonna be playing. It may also be tough to reduce your schedule when everything is going so well.
