i played tennis today for the second time only, after playing for the first three days ago.
it's amazing, i love the game even more now! it's so fun!!!
i have a good serve, and my backhand is like, 50 times better than my forehand!
it's so fun, i try out things that my faves play, and some actually work!
i still can't get the dropshot right, and i'm trying out twohanded evrythings and...

god, tennis is your Eden. i'm sure of it.
i want to play every second of my life!
it took me 17 years to hit a ball, and i'm never gunna stop!

Hey yeah, have fun! There are days where you will have a lots of fun, where everything goes right, where you think ´I am the queen of the world (king whatever)´ and then there are days, where you just think: WTF? Hehe...and I am playing tennis since I am 8, 14 years later, I still feel that way, you´ve got to hate tennis in order to love it;)

If you've only played 4 times and you have a great serve and slice backhand already, please share your secrets. :o

I hear you, when I first layed it, that is all i could thiink of, i would play, dream, talk tennis all day. You also find a new respect for all players coz yu realise just how talented they really are.

that's easy!
i try to backhand like momo, serve like serena, forehand like kuz, down-the-line like jankovic, and run like elena!

kiddin' but i DO check out other people playing on near-by courts and try to understand what they are doing wrong, and what i'm doing better.
I feel i'm good for someone that started right now just cuz i play alot better than my friends (some of them actually athletic, btw) that played with me - but of course, i play like crap still - just better than they are.
it doesn't discourage me though! i'm having so much fun, and my muscles ache like hell!

Well, first of all congrats for starting to play and for feeling already at ease on court! :) And I'm sure I get what you mean when you say you have a very good serve and backhand, already... it's probably that you feel comfortable hitting those, though of course you have a certain way to go, and there's always room for improvement. We can't forget that even the top players are always working hard, day in and day out!

Also, after watching lots of tennis for so long, you certainly have very good ideas what to do on court, and how you should do everything... that doesn't mean that you always manage to do it the right way, but it helps! And sometimes beginners with a lesser love for the game, and with less match watching practice, don't have it too clear what they should do on court.

So good start for you, keep us posted on your progresses! :D

considering how much people argue about "who is the most naturally talented player" i don't think we should be questioning someone picking up the game quickly.

wow u must be good!

well it took me ages to learn...iit took me months to learn a good topspin forehand and years to learn to serve

and people whats wrong with a slice backlhand??? i give people fits with it! and if u can do it properly it should work unless u play at a very high level

good for you! :yeah: tennis can be really addictive especially
when you're a beginner. its exciting to learn how to hit the
shots and all that but sometimes you may you get too serious
and may get frustrated so always remember to have fun on
the court. enjoy! ;) :)

OK, here's the newest news!
i played AGAIN today with my friend for two hours
once more, i tried to work on my forehand since i still don't know how to hit it!
i just cant!
no power, no accuracy, no nothing. really. i can't put any angle to it and i can't hit it flat! so frustrating!!!
but my backhand is ideal
i slice all the time, my friend officialy hates me - as long as i can place myself to hit the backhand, it's gunna go low and slicey. tons of spin, and i can hit it hard too.
i love my backhand, and i'm thinking of marrying it. and were gunna murder forehand and burry him. sssssHHH.
the serve is getting more and more stable, so that's nice.
we can actually PLAY now. i mean - rallies and all.
my friend plays a much better forehand, and needs to work on the BH so were ok.
i'm much higher than he is (6'0 compared to about 5'6... he's a cute little midget born early, beggining of 7th month)
i got my first tennis blister today!
so exciting! we examined it, and i kissed it all day long!
(i got a little heat illness today, i have no idea why!)
all in all, i'm having so much fun!
it's great.
and i love slicing.
i can understand momo now, it can make people soooo frustrated!
