You can have your own thread in Arabic but since this is a public message board I ask you to write your posts in English so that everybody can understand them.
Consider this a warning, one more thread like this and I'll take actions.

Ok, I've read this one also! It says that Steffi is not actually the mother of her new baby. Andre and Steffi used Jelena as a surrogate, but now Jelena is having second thoughts after turning the baby over. She feels that her pregnant state inspired her onto all those titles this year and feels she'll slump this year if not pregnant again by Andre (it was done in a lab). So, apparently, Andre struck a deal with Jelena that he will have a baby with her, but that Gabriella Sabatini has agreed to raise it as her own, which Jelena has agreed to since Argentina has such good programs for juniors.

It doesn't make much sense to me, but I can only tell you what it translates into!

I don't see why everyone is chiding him/her for using Arabic.

If I felt like writing in french, then no one would say anything about it.

Granted, no one around here seems to know what the heck the guy is doing - he just keeps writing stuff no one can read, and not bothering to respond to any of it.

Creepy, yes.

But I don't see why everyone is saying "why does he have to write it Arabic"..maybe thats his first language! Or maybe he is just a creep trying to get us all riled up.

Either way - its predjudice to insult someone for using a different language.

Becca, he can start a thread in Arabic just like there's a German, French, Dutch thread but I don't think anyone really appreciates it that he starts every single thread in Arabic cause almost nobody understands it. Furthermore this is a message board so if you start threads with titles like DOKIC, VENUS SERENA, etc... you clearly do that to start a debate but what use does it have if noone understands it?
Plus, someone who understands Arabic says that his posts don't make sense, not talking about the subject and written in incorrect language.
Plus in non-tennis he started a thread addressing one of the members (EVEY) who doesn't even understand Arabic and he started that thread with the words 'U DIE'.

So I think it's good to be cautious of this person, hence the warning I gave him.

i think he's trying to be funny....the artcles themselves are ridiculous and illogical. no matter what language he writes in it's still total nonsense. this person should be off the board

still the same thing it doesn't talk about tennis at all, here I go again to give a translation.
And celest it would be nice if you can say that your translations are just jokes.

Here is some translation of the text above :

The colonial forces reported taht palestinien piersons using guns have been shot after using their guns.
Then this sentence is repeated like four times back to back.

It continues then :
... their guns on a israelian military spot. A plastinian has been killed and two injured seriously due to an israelian missile attack, this happened yetrday afternoon in a city called Jenine situated in the north west of the country.

The question mark at the end is just there for no porpose. I hope I helped a bit.

Well, to sum it up, anyone can go to an Arabic website, copy sentences at random and paste them in here, not even bothering to start from the right, adding question marks now and then...

This being said, the guy (or girl) in question has posted five silly nonsensical topics and that's it. He must be delighted to see how much we all comment on them (me included ).

Miss Becca, I don't think that Josh would be so happy if you posted French topics all over the place (even though he speaks perfect French himself), especially if they didn't make any sense. Besides, I can remember his many posts on the old board and he can hardly be called a racist...

I'd love a real Arabic thread with hints to start learning, and Josh would probably not be the last to join the party. Those fake threads are at best a rather pointless joke, at worst, an attempt at playing with some people's fear of things Arabic and/or Muslim. In any case, they don't bring much to our knowledge of Arabic culture

Josh - I was not critisizing your administrative choice, to ask him not to write in Arabic.

I was simply commenting that some of the things people have said in various threads, basically imply Arabic is a non-language that people shouldnt be using.

While I agree that what this poster is doing is rather silly, I don't find it necessary to get pissed off at him for using that particular language.

I'm not trying to tell people how to react, and I'm not about to cut and paste quotes of people who sounded predjudice towards that lauguage - but there were some comments that sounded intollerant. (that were not your own)

Perhaps I just misinterpreted them. Hopefully that is the case.
