Russia's Elena Dementieva has pulled out of the Antwerp Diamond Games in mid-February in Belgium, one of the tournament's organisers told Reuters on Tuesday without elaborating.

Dementieva, along with Frenchwoman Nathalie Dechy, was inadvertently implicated in a doping scandal when a Belgian sports minister revealed there had been a positive test at a four-woman exhibition event in the city of Charleroi in December.

The minister eventually named another Russian, U.S. Open champion Svetlana Kuznetsova as the culprit, though she was cleared by the Women's Tennis Association because ephedrine, the drug concerned, is not on the banned list when taken out of competition.

Two wrongs don't always make a right. However ironies abound and maybe there are lessons to be learnt.

Here it is, Dementieva pulled out because the Belgian official wrongly accused her or let it appear for a while that she might have been implicated in drug taking.
This is the same young lady who at Indian Wells, said essentially that Richard Williams fixed the matches between his daughters.
She too had no evidence.
Isn't life funny?
Sometimes, if one waits long enough it does come around!

Not silly...just that you don't like it or agree with my ideas. Or maybe you don't understand what I am trying to highlight..irony.
I am a fan of tennis, I go to tournaments and cheer for all kinds of people. Have been for many years and will continue to be after this group has retired.
