my monitor is suddenly colorless. :help:

just push the reset button.

While we're on the subject my monitor does some weird stuff sometimes....every once in a while for no apparent reason it makes a really weird sound and a distortion wave kinda flows across the screen. Anyone got any ideas what that's about?

electrical interference. When I was in college I used to have a microwave next to the monitor and it would do that when the microwave was on.

Of course your monitor could be going out :lol:

umm... find the plug that goes from your monitor to the computer and follow it to where it plugs into the computer and there you go... have you tried another monitor or tried your monitor on someone else's computer?

I would think it's more video card related than the monitor because to make I think for the monitor to go black and white more than one of the cathode ray tube emitters would have had to die simultaneously
